Hi CALIF65GM,
Thanks for your patience while we have checked this for you. Unfortunately Sixt Las Vegas do not have a separate Express Check in counter available. However, if you fill in the Express Service online, then the branch will have your details available upon collection and you will be able to collect your vehicle as quickly and smoothly as possible. Thanks, Jess. Ok thank your for checking. |

Hi ringingup,
The Miami Airport branch is open 24/7. Also, I think that seawolf is pretty spot on with what would be the fastest option for you. Thanks, Jess.

Thank you Jess. What are the opening times? As a Platinum customer, what would be the fastest way to check out?

You have to pass by the 4th floor to get to the 3rd floor. The fastest way to check out is to see if there is a line on the 4th floor and then take the escalator down to 3rd to where the cars are.
However: 3rd floor processing can be slow because agents there are dome times interrupted or are inexperienced; As mentioned, 3rd floor is closed in the late night (23:00-05:00?). I often arrive at around 05:00 and then must get car and keys on 4th. Generally you must walk behind the counters to the office area to find someone.nthere has always been someone in the office when I have been there. As Platinum they are generous with upgrades if they have the cars so don't forget to ask. |
LDW
Hi, im sure this has been asked before somewhere, i have a reservation in las vegas on the 21st, the reservation confirmation lists loss damage waiver with an excess of $0. two questions, is the LDW the same as a CDW? if i am unfortunate enough to have a crash, does the excess of $0 mean that i am not liable to pay any extra?
many thanks wayne |
Sixt reply
Hi Wayne,
LDW and CDW are the same. It's called called different things in different countries; mostly CDW in Europe. You're right about the excess, if you have 0$ excess then you will not be liable to pay anything in the case of theft or damage. I hope this helps to confirm. Thanks, Jess.

Sixt,
Could you confirm if Platinums get one-class or two-class upgrades in US (MIA)? I was booked in FCAR. Location quoted an upgrade charge for an A4 sedan. Which according to the sixt site is an LCAR. Shouldn't it have been offered as an upgrade? |
Sixt reply
Hi seawolf,
If your platinum card is issued in the US, then for US locations you can get a double upgrade and a single upgrade everywhere else. These are subject to availability, and not valid for long-term rentals, special cars, motorcycles or trucks. The possibility of receiving an upgrade is only valid for up to 12 months from the issue date of the card. This advantage remains valid when you rent more than 10 times per 12 months with Sixt. If you'd like to send me a private message with the reservation number, I'll be happy to look into this in a bit more detail for you. Thanks, Jess.

Hello,
I have a reservation booked in Atlanta that is not prepaid. If i do not show up! Is there any sort of charge that Sixt will impose? I have read the fine print and it looks like only prepaid reservations that do not get picked up get charged. Thanks and please advise. Gino |
Sixt reply
Hi Gino,
We wouldn't charge you anything if you don't collect a pay on arrival booking. The only time a cancellation or noshow charge would occur is if it's prepaid. Thanks, Jess.

Hi there
I am needing to hire a vehicle in downtown Mendoza (Argentina) for one day in January. Firstly can they deliver/collect from the Park Hyatt hotel 1km from their station? Secondly online there is only a terrible selection of budget vehicles - is that honestly all they have there? |
Sixt reply
Hi Vinotraveller,
With Argentina being a franchise of ours, I do need to check your queries with them. I've contacted them now and I'll get back to you as soon as possible with further information. Many thanks, Jess.

I'm a Sixt Diamond. Looking at your website, under Sixt Platinum it says "Free upgrade to the next car group and a double upgrade in U.S. locations.**" but on your website, this is not mentioned for Sixt Diamond. Can you please confirm whether this is possible for Sixt Diamond as well? I don't want a situation where I go to a Sixt and someone says that only a single-level upgrade will be possible...
I'm planning to book LCAR at a U.S. location soon. Can someone tell me what category this would likely be upgraded to? Thanks! Also - nearly all of the specials on the Sixt website expire on Dec 10, 2014. Are there any further deals planned? |
