Has anyone read all the fine print to figure out what the renewal of membership as well as the roll over of points means? (https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/u...020renewal-kf/)

Right now I have one account where I transferred enough to get Gold for 2 years. It reads (Required: 0 by 30 Nov 22).

How long will I have status for with the roll over? Nov 2023, Nov 2024?

Second account I transferred enough to get gold, but was going to transfer more to get it for 2 years. It reads (Required: 23,200

by 30 Nov 22).

For this one, should I transfer any more, or should I just let it automatically renew gold 11/2022 to 11/2023?

3rd and 4th accounts are silver, but need just a bit more to get gold. I could put in enough to get gold this month, and they would be gold till 2/2023 (right?). Then, since they are expiring 2/2023, will they auto get gold till 2/2024?

It wouldn't be Singaporean if there wasn't so much IF/THEN/ELSE.

For your first account, upon reaching membership renewal on 30 Nov 2022, it will be renewed for another year to 30 Nov 2023 based on the current scheme. The 50K elite miles that you have already earned for this current year will be auto credited back to your account after 30 Nov 2022. As such, the current elite miles earned can be used for renewal when it is due on 30 Nov 2023, in which this case, your membership will then be renewed till 30 Nov 2024.

For your second account, the membership will be renewed till 30 Nov 2023. As such, it is dependent if you would be flying enough to earn the elite miles to renew when it is due on 30 Nov 2023 or you would want to play safe and earn the elite miles now and it will follow the same renewal logic as your first account.

For your third and fourth account, if you clock enough elite miles to earn Gold status in Feb 2022, the membership will be valid for one year till Feb 2023. Thereafter under the current scheme, it will be automatically be renewed for another 12 months till Feb 2024.

Hope this helps.

Sorry want to be absolute clear on this…

I have 160 Elite Miles. My membership year ends 31 Jul 2022. So if I credit another 49.84k Elite Miles (by converting KF miles from my CC), I’ll get KF Gold till Jul 2023.

And do I or do I not get the automatic crediting back of the Elite Miles? If I do, essentially I’ll be KF Gold till Jul 2024 if I sort out the transfer by next month?

What is your current KF status as it will determine your membership cycle?

Assuming that you are a KF or KF Elite Silver member, by crediting 49.84K elite miles in Feb 2022, your KF Elite Gold membership cycle will start from Feb 2022 and due for renewal at end Feb 2023. Given that there is a current promo scheme where they auto renew your KF elite gold status for another year, at the end of the Feb 2023, your KF Gold elite status will be renewed for another year and will be due for renewal at end Feb 2024.

Assuming that you are an existing KF Elite Gold member, your KF Gold status membership is due for renewal on Jul 2022, based on the current promo scheme, they will auto renew your KF elite gold status for another year and your KF elite gold membership will be due for renewal on Jul 2023. Upon the auto renewal under the current scheme, the 50K elite miles (the existing 160 elite miles plus the 49.84 elite miles that you have credited in Feb 2022) will be re-credited to your account after auto renewal on Jul 2022. Hence, these 50K elite miles can then be used to meet the 50K renewal requirements when it is due for renewal on Jul 2023, and your KF elite gold membership will then be due for renewal on Jul 2024.

Hope this clarifies.

I don't have any status at the moment, so will look to credit it by next month. Thanks a lot!

Anyone have any recent data points on how long credit takes to post?

Was thinking about burning off the rest of my Citi points to upgrade Silver to Gold and push it out to 2024 or so.

Citi typically takes 2-3 days. The elite miles post around the same time.

Can anyone confirm if my understanding is correct? Currently i have no status. If i transfer 250k points from my amex MR account today, this will give me *gold until feb 2023. With the extension of status announced, this would mean the *gold would extend to feb 2024?

I guess the key insight here is that once you earn 50,000 Elite miles, your KF Gold membership year starts and your Elite mile counter resets to 0 immediately to begin the re-earning process. So supposing that I hit KF Gold in Feb 2022, it would automatically be extended to Feb 2024. After which you can earn another 50,000 Elite miles (say by transferring in 250,000 miles in Feb 2022) and this would be carried over to the Mar 2023-Feb 2024 membership year to earn status through Feb 2025?

Am I missing anything here?

So technically it makes sense to hold off until mid-late Feb to try and extend the period by as many days as possible, right?

Expires at the end of the 12th month so Feb 1 and Feb 28 both expire at the same time next year

Oh, gotcha. Okay so in that case, just wait until February and then do the transfer? I guess that works for me.

*twiddles thumbs*

I already received rollover elite miles on 13-Jan-21 with comment "Rolled_Over_Elite_Miles_Nov_21" on statement. Isn't this to early? I would have expected these only after my membership year ends Nov-2022.

Since I am already requalified these rollover elite miles do me no good, I only need them after Nov-2022 to requalify all the way until Nov-2024. Will there be another set of rollover miles after Nov-2022?
