Had two separate bookings for a flight cancelled in June. Got a refund email for one ticket last Friday, but it hasn’t posted to CC yet. Got no email on the other, but a refund for full amount posted to card today. Still, no word on the earlier refunds from May.

Advice needed. Today I received 6 refund invoices from SAS that aren't for me. They showed people's names/addresses etc and what they were getting. Anybody have any suggestions who I can contact. They came from a no-reply email address

That is bad, call customer services and tell them
If they have the peoples email addresses on, I would let them know as well, good old SAS
Contact information for SAS Customer Service/EuroBonus can be found under Contact on SAS' website. In Sweden, call +46 8 797 4000, in Norway +47 2189 6400, in Denmark +45 70 10 20 00 and in other countries +46 8 797 4000.

if booked with a UK or US credit card raise a dispute and do a chargeback. Make sure you have the cancellation email and other evidence, You can do this even if SAS is supposedly refunding you, Its far simpler - as the onus is then on SAS to push back against the disputed amount, which given their present incompetence won't happen. but also they have no basis to push back.
As this is now going on for 7 months, the covid excuse is running a bit thin: Airlines has started and failed in shorter time frames. I'm getting worried there's now such ill-will that SAS will go bust in the recovery as their previous regular flyers avoid booking them.

Except for AMEX most credit cards no longer entertain charge backs for airline tickets.

The refund from SAS will be received some day.

I saw someone wanted to fire a chargeback with AMEX in the UK and he was told that they won't do it.

My experience with Ikano is that they will do it if the airline told you that they won't issue you a refund.

I filed a chargeback with Amex in the UK and it got approved. I told them I had waited a couple of months and that SAS wouldn't even give me a date when they would look at it. The chargeback was immediately approved

Under Swedish law, the credit card company is required to refund you. If the credit card company refuses to refund, then point at 29 § in the consumer credit law (konsumentkreditlagen).

You could also chase SK through the royal bailiff or through the courts.

The credit card comp is not required to allow the charge back if it finds that it is groundless.

?? That option is not a realistic option for 99% of us

Every airline will have a legal entity in any country from which they operate. If you have a small claims court process, just claim against that legal entity in your own country.
Agree for most people this will be daunting, and the process is going to vary depending on which country you are based.

But small claims courts where they exist should be reasonably accessible to the public, don't need lots of legal knowledge, and its usually just a case of presenting evidence to the court of how you have been wronged, and the legal basis for your claim (provide things like your original booking email, eticket, cancellation email, any other usual emails or time/date of calls, and provide the SAS T&Cs highlighting their refund section, and EU261 refund in 7 days)

My understanding is that except for the UK, small claims court procedures are not available in other European countries. Even if small claims procedures would be available most people wouldn't know how to initiate and conduct such legal proceedings unless researching a lot on how to do it or being a lawyer.

This is not true.

International: https://europa.eu/youreurope/busines...e/index_en.htm (can't be used if you're suing someone in Denmark)

Domestic: Unavailable in Denmark, Finland and possibly other countries. In Sweden, the procedure is used if you demand that someone pays you at most 23,650 SEK (2020 amount, adjusted for inflation every year). In other words, it can't always be used for refunds of intercontinental tickets in premium cabins.

Yesterday, we received the last of our 4 refunds for the full amounts from cancelled flights in June. Only got an email from SAS on one refund. The others appeared on the credit cards with no notice.

Waiting from Early July's refund

We've been waiting aince beginning of july and heard nothing back yet, does anyone have email I could send at all? Or do I just have to call them and hope they pick up?
