But I've noticed that I haven't gotten one survey for several months. Just thought that things were going slow over the summer. Also notice on two accounts there's a "pinnochio" icon. I know that on alot of surveys in June we finished doing the surveys and afterwards only got $1 for opening them up instead of the full amounts (in the $10-20 range).
Several family members used to get a few surveys a week and now it's nothing ever since they requested rewards. Also found the same thing happening after being "upgraded" as a valued member where balance would be rolled-over.
Makes me wonder what's going on.
I've gotten plenty of surveys.

I wouldn't think that a Pinocchio icon would be a good thing.

Anyhow, back to the original topic of this thread.... @:-)

I know. That's why I'd like to know how to check for this icon.

The icon has showed up for all family accounts, but "only" half seem to be infected with the no survey disease. BTW, The icon shows up right away on the top/middle of the home page after signing in.

Ironically we are very honest with our answers (excepting personal data, like never give anyone an exact birth date, etc. - ok with age ranges...).

Maybe they just don't like our form of honesty anymore, especially regarding a lot of the cheesy ads they ask us to rate.

Maybe it's related to how fast you complete a survey, or the age of the account?

The "icon" is on everybody's home page and means nothing to any specific account. It is in the middle of the home page if you look for it with a link to the following message:

Thank you for taking time to share your valuable opinions with e-Rewards. The accuracy of our market research survey results depends on thoughtful, carefully considered feedback from members like you.

Please take your time and respond to the best of your knowledge and ability as you answer the market research surveys you're invited to participate in. And while most members make every effort to ensure the accuracy of their answers, occasionally we must reserve the right to withhold e-Rewards Currency if the responses are considered less than sincere.

We value your membership in e-Rewards and appreciate the time that you take to participate in market research surveys

Obviously, they are not going to put the icon only on the pages of members that have been flagged for dishonesty. Instead, they would likely close those accounts. I am still getting surveys regularly (last one on 10/2/08), always tell the truth, and have never held points withheld.

The false rumors and paranoia on some threads always amaze me.

Their current policy is to flag accounts they suspect of dishonesty, and stop sending surveys.

Well I don't have the icon, so it's not everyone. I also tried work and home computers and different browsers.

My $.02:

1) Not everyone has the icon, those that do have been getting fewer or no surveys (observations from friends & family). Mrs. Cheapskate hasn't had a survey in over 9 months, despite updating profile, not even a $.15 erewards info survey...that really made us start to wonder. She has been an erewards member for well over 4 years, done hundreds of surveys and they dried up over night, no trickle, no slight reduction, just cold turkey.

2) I doubt they would close very many accounts. That would mean they have to give you some kind of explanation. Better they freeze your account from their end, not send you any surveys. That would lock up your name and email address and likely keep you out of their survey pool more easily than giving you a reason for eviction and having you sign-up under a different email address.

3) It is not paranoid to observe the actions of a business, compare information with others experiencing the same, acquire information from insiders and posit possible conclusions.

Posters in the past who have said, "I haven't gotten an e-rewards survey in three weeks...," well that could be just paranoia or a non-updated profile. But with the number of people who have been cut off cold turkey, it seems to be a horse of a different color.

4) It seems to be posters who haven't been cut off, who are regularly getting surveys, they are the people who scream "paranoid" to those who have been cut off and are looking for answers. Something like this occurred last year when the first people with certain erewards accounts had their redemptions limited to merchandise and e-miles. Many posters seemed to take a disbelieving tone and pooh-poohed the first canaries in the coal mine. These people weren't going crazy, though IMO some people made them think they were.

5) With a failing economy it is likely that surveys will dry up a bit more and more accounts will start experiencing a more restricted diet of surveys...we could call it getting your erewards account Atkinsed.

Can the "Pinnochio" & Survey Dry-up Start New e-Rewards threads?

I never see pinnochio in my e-Rewards page and my survey invites are coming as usual. It seems to me there are more than one person experiencing "pinnochio" and purvey dry-up "syndromes." I understand you guys want to discuss those experiences. But I do believe those "syndromes" deserve their own threads so folks in similar situation can exchange ideas and share what e-Rewards say when contacted.

About a year ago (last December or something), when I read about folks mentioning Delta being the only airline redemption for their e-Rewards accounts, I suggest them to start a standalone thread. They took the advice and it appeared to be a confirmed policy change on e-Rewards end.

I cannot start those threads myself since I don't have those issues/problems. So I am going to suggest the same thing again:
Can those who have "pinnochio" flag and/or survey dry-up please start a separate thread?

I am sure it will be much easier for FTers to find the "right" threads to contribute in regards to different issues with e-Rewards. Those who have pinnochio will never know there is discussion buried in the "Double Rewards" thread, unless they follow this thread very closely.

This thread is about e-Rewards "Double Rewards", not e-Rewards in general. It's not supposed to be the e-Rewards master thread.

Thank you!

I looked at my account and they had posted.... $25. OK, better than nothing, I guess.

So I e-mailed a response to their last e-mail, explaining that I was due $50, not $25. No response from them yet.
Update: I e-mailed another time, got a prompt response indicating that I was on the list to get my (delayed) double bonus, and the bonus posted! I then immediately did an HHonors redemption. The HHonors points posted immediately.

2x E-Rewards is all caught up for me

My advice is to be patient -- it took a while, and came in dribs and drabs -- for example, $25 double reward six weeks late; the next due award a month later (also extremely tardy, compared with what E-Rewards promised in the Ts&Cs).

On Wednesday, I just received a $100 "catch-up" double rewards dump from previous months. ^

Same here and I was stunned when I saw that. Also no Pinnochio icon on my home page.
