You know, I had always been skeptical that there was an AA tie to this double rewards promo, but today I just noticed that my $325 bonus is listed as "American Airlines News." tls

I'd earned another round of $25 on Oct 11.

After 10 business days and contacting them, I was just being told that, yes, my earning is now recorded in the system but
"the credits are not posted automatically and are queried in a report. As of today, I can not guarantee when your account will be credited with your fifth bonus credit..."

From reading every post in this thread, I really don't know how come some people's accounts get double credits automatically everytime a survey got filled out, while some don't have to do anything and credits just get posted. And poor us, have to keep email them over and over and over and simply don't know when the credits are coming.

Really bad member service on this promo!

I just found out why some people get the rewards and some do not...

First I want to take this opportunity to say to the IDIOTS who flamed me for my take on this issue!

Now for the results... after doing as I posted earlier and continued to get the "we're working on getting you your credit" form letter emails...now 6 month later with NO results...

I went to the "better business bureau" and lodged a complaint against E-Rewards.

Well, suddenly I am someone to contend with...and I got the results desired, they credited me with ALL missing bonus credits! Also they stated what happened.
>>>
Due to a production error, an offer was briefly shown to Mr. xxx as a dynamic message on the e-Rewards web site. The dynamic message offered double e-Rewards Currency (valid 20 Apr 2008 to 15 Dec 2008), and was intended to be displayed to a limited group of participants in the e-Rewards Opinion Panel. The error was corrected shortly after the offer was displayed, but apparently not before Mr. xxx noticed it.
Mr. xxx was not a part of the limited group, and thus has not been credited for the double e-Rewards Currency offer.
We have made a special accommodation for Mr. xxx, and have arranged him to be included in the double currency offer. His account will be credited the extra $XXX in e-Rewards currency our records indicate he has earned since 20 Apr. He will remain a part of the double credit offer through 15 December.
<<<

So, looking at the timing, it WAS an offer only for those AA people but they messed up ans gave it to more than they were supposed to. One thing wrong in the responce above is that it was on my web-page for a month until I asked for the credit and also that they also sent me an email telling me i was in the promotion.

Well anyway, I got my due credit...just remember, their customer service is a horrable excuse for a waist of your time!

Yeah, I believe it was INTENDED for AA miles users (and/or maybe for people who joined via an invitation from AA?) but somehow got sent to others as well.

Only for Certain e-Rewards Opinion Panel Members

Let me repeat it for one last time.

Even we had our suspicion that this double rewards offer was targeted to those who had AA as one redemption option. However, post #44 (5/3/08, quoted below) clearly disputed that "speculation", since Delta sponsored accounts have been excluded from AA redemption.

e-Rewards didn't say anything about AA or refer to AA sponsors anywhere in the response to BBB. It only said "production error" and "to a limited group of participants in the e-Rewards Opinion Panel."

The best we can say is only certain number of panel members were targetted but e-Rewards made a huge mistake executing this promo.

As for me, yes, I happen to be a Panel Member. And yes, I had AA as one redemption option. Do I have to follow up to get my double rewards? Yes!

Are all my double rewards up to date? NO!

Well, hey, maybe YOU should read the thread more carefully!

First, just because willdallas was targeted for the offer, but was sponsored by Delta and had no access to AA awards, that does NOT prove anything. After all, it does appear that at least SOME people were incorrectly targeted, right?

Second, with regard to the BBB response, the fact that AA wasn't mentioned proves NOTHING one way or the other.

Third, in a post just a few above yours (which you apparently didn't read), thelostshark reports that his Double Rewards bonus was posted as "American Airlines News." @:-) That is a positive piece of evidence (unlike the fact that BBB didn't mention anything, etc.).

And finally, there are a number of OTHER pieces of evidence sprinkled throughout this thread, which I'm not going to rehash right now, because it's somewhat like beating a dead horse. All I can say is that before you posted the above, you ought to at least have read the most recent posts, or better yet, reviewed the whole thread. @:-)

In case you haven't noticed, I've been following the whole thread and I did read every post. I know how inconsistent e-Rewards is about this offer.

To say at least, I don't represent e-Rewards. Neither do you. None of our "guesses" count unless e-Rewards did make an official announcement that the double rewards offer had everything to do with AA. Even I "think" it has to do with AA, I don't have anything in writing from e-Rewards to substantiate my speculation. That's why I don't draw any definitive conclusion. I suggest you do the same.

To the best of my knowledge, up to this point their reply to BBB probably is the most concrete OFFICIAL response in writing that acknowledged the connection between this offer and e-Rewards opinion panel members. They also acknowledged they didn't execute this promo in any perfect manner. That's the best we can say so far.

I don't know about others but the credits I got in late September didn't say anything about "American Airlines News." The holes e-Rewards has digged for this offer have make it difficult for us to know which way is the "right" way to execute this offer. Unless you do have official words from e-Rewards that indicated "AA miles users" (just borrowed your words in post#218), I see no point of getting back and forth with you. After all, neither of us works for them.

If you do have anything official, please share with this group. That's what we do, isn't it? Share the correct info with fellow FTers.

You know, I haven't received any surveys since my last email (Sept. 16) to e-rewards requesting bonus credit (which resulted in the $325 bonus). I'm on their technology panel, so I used to get suveys pretty regularly. I wonder if I killed the goose that lays my golden egg. Well, $325 was just too much to let slide .... tls

After not getting the bonus automatically after reaching the $25, I emailed them after waiting for it to post for almost three weeks. Got a reply several days later, saying I hadn't registered for the bonus offer. Knowing that I had registered at the time that we were emailed about AA leaving e-Rewards, I replied that I was sure that I had registered at that time, and to please check again, and they said they would. Then I waited for over a month, and with no response from them, I again emailed with my plan to go over his head to get a response. This brought an answer two days later that yes, I had indeed registered, and the bonus would post within seven days, along with an apology for "miscommunication" from them. The only "miscommunication" from them that they sent was the refusal to originally credit my bonus when I asked for it.

Bonus finally posted yesterday.

Same thing here. Am on their technology panel and have not seen any surveys in a couple of months.

OK, so I was probably just being paranoid then. I guess the economy isn't helping these marketing-survey firms ... tls
