That's a good point, altho my e-miles participation has been strictly on a "no spend" basis. Guess we'll just have to wait and see if this repeats itself or not. tls

Same here. But tonight it was deleted from my account. Easy come, easy go.

Yep, the 3 points are gone from my account too. I guess that'l teach me to complain! tls

Likewise

Brendan Aug 12, 2014 8:39 am

My 3 points disappeared a few days ago, too. Must have been an error--or a test--because I never did anything with a Groupon email!

thelostshark Sep 10, 2014 7:09 am

Hmmm, can't log in to my account today. Says I'm either entering the wrong email address or password. But I'm not. Anyone else having this issue? tls

Update:
Hmm, well, it a couple hours later, and I'm now able to log in. Not sure what the problem was. tls

Received an email a couple weeks ago saying the promotion was over, and you can no longer redeem 250 e-miles for 250 UA miles. Have to do 500 for 500. I don't recall it being a promotion when they first emailed me about it, although who knows. Not that big a deal, but 250 was nice while it lasted. tls

It was very nice indeed. Sad to see it go

I actually do remember them saying it was a promo, so I guess it was never promised as permanent. I was guessing, though, that they'd make it permanent and say something about "due to popular member demand" or some such. Guessed wrong!

I have to add a positive for eMiles. I fight with e-Rewards constantly over large surveys that never seem to post - and lately you can send e-Rewards all sorts of emails and never get anything done.

Recently I took advantage of an e-Miles offer to donate $10 to some charity for 250 miles - and as usual the miles never posted.

But I sent an email to customer service, they sent me an email the next day asking for the verification which I sent by return email, and the points were in my account 2 days later (yesterday) and I received the email back from them saying they did it today.

Bad on them that I always have to chase down the points - but good on Customer service for fixing it!

I made a redemption to AS around a week ago. When can I expect the miles to post? Thanks so much.

thelostshark Oct 28, 2014 12:12 pm

If it's like the other airlines on e-miles, it'll be in the first few days of November. tls

Thanks so much. I used this offer to sign up and was supposed to get 100 and 350 miles. I did sign up for 6 offers and have only gotten 100 miles so far. I wrote to customer service 2 days back but got no response so far. Does anybody have an idea if anything can be done to get the remaining 350 miles? Thanks in advance.

thelostshark Mar 31, 2015 7:51 am

I redeemed 500 miles for US 2-3 weeks ago, which under normal circumstances I'd get in early April. Subsequently I got an email from e-miles saying future redememptions would be on AA, which is terrific. They don't have my AA account # though (altho my US and AA accounts are linked; would e-miles know that?). I really don't care where my redemption goes, as long as it gets into 1 of these accounts. I guess I'll find out shortly. tls

viajero boricua Mar 31, 2015 11:05 am

IIRC, AA already stated that they'll issue new AAdvantage numbers to those US accounts that they've absorbed and combine into the AAdvantage account on those cases on which the same traveler had accounts on both airlines.

Reason is that AA's tech people found they had cases of IDENTICAL NUMBERS on BOTH airlines FF systems (already documented on FT).

AA will have to supply an account number to eMiles where to put those deposits...

E-miles [Master Thread]

Has anybody redeemed to the new AA - yet? I've redeemed about 5k over the last few weeks... Wish it was instant like UA :/

(From another site but applicable to my question):

"We apologize for this unusual delay in posting your miles. USAirways Dividend Miles is currently in the process of migrating to American AAdvantage. We have already transferred the miles to your account, but they will not post to your new AAdvantage account until the migration is complete."

Waiting on...

6.5k from emiles
5k from rocket miles
10k from energy plus...

Gunna be awesome if all 21.5k miles post in one day ...

thelostshark Apr 7, 2015 12:09 pm

I did get my 500 e-miles. According to my US account, the activity date was March 17, and the miles posted on March 24. Then the total was transferred to AA (on March 25, according to my AA account).

Usually e-miles does a sweep at the beginning of the month, so I'm not sure what to make of the March 24 date. Maybe they did an early sweep for US. Not that it matters, since I got the miles. tls

eajusa Apr 7, 2015 7:34 pm

I have sent e-miles to AA, UA, HHonors, and JetBlue. In most cases, the miles or points post in two weeks.

E-miles [Master Thread]

Sent in an email to AA customer service a few days ago. I got a call today from them following up, apparently they do not even see e-miles as a transfer partner, or something like that.

That might explain why it has been over a month since my new AA e-miles account hasn't posted the miles... Would be nice for it to happen soon

Same thing happened to me just before the AA/US FF programs merged. Made a deposit that showed up at US in a day or so. I agree about the likelihood of an early sweep just before the programs merged. It certainly would have been the smart thing for them to do, and I think they probably wanted as few loose ends as possible after the merger.

E-miles just seems to be getting worse as time goes by. We have two accounts and one hasn't had enough action to do a redemption in over a year. The other one has been sitting at 495 for weeks since the last 5 "offers" I received, even though most of them say "you will get 5 miles for responding" do not give you any miles unless you opt in to whatever they are selling.

thelostshark Aug 12, 2015 12:32 pm

My account has also been slow of late. In the past it seems like it's been cyclical, so hopefully we're just in a down period. tls

UPDATE: 2-3 hours after I posted this I received a 5 point opportunity. Progress ... ;-)

anz5708 Aug 20, 2015 11:09 am

For the past 2 months I've not gotten credit (in the past it was immediate) for clicking thru ads and answering a few questions. I'm getting plenty of offers but no credit. 5 and 10 point offers several times a week would add up quickly IF they were credited. Anyone else having this problem?

I have sent E-Miles a message three times in the last week about emails that say you will get the 5 miles for clicking through - and you don't. Of the 6 emails I received this week 3 were just selling stuff and the other three didn't give the 5 miles even though it says it would.

I saw a couple like that this week - the home page says you'll earn miles, but when you click through, if you read the text it says you only earn the miles if you sign up. I usually just go back to the home page and remove them - it's not worth five miles to sign up for their junk mail.

bj2757 Oct 9, 2015 10:05 am

I just sent another complaint - and just started holding my breath...

The last three "offers" I received all said to answer the questions and get 5 miles for my time. None of them actually gave the miles. I copied the pages and sent them to emiles. They are really cheating a lot of people.

thelostshark Oct 9, 2015 11:22 am

The emails I've received of late have not promised any e-miles, and I'd assumed that perhaps they were getting better at not falsely promising the 5 e-miles, but I guess not.

This program was never terribly lucrative, but it seems to have slowed down even more lately. tls

Same here. No response to the email I sent them.

Anybody know their corporate offices' address? Time for a Better Business Bureau complaint. I also don't see them on Twitter, which is usually a quick way of getting some kind of response.

bj2757 Oct 9, 2015 12:17 pm

They do have a page on Facebook - and I've received great results when I've posted issues on Facebook pages in the past - but all I see on this one are people complaining just like us and no replies.

One thing I've noticed is that sometimes I get the email AFTER I've
already filled out the survey from the web page list. It lets you
fill out the survey again, doesn't give you any miles, and doesn't
complain that you've already done it.

I'm not saying that's what happened; just something to check.

Over 5 miles? You're complaining to the BBB over 10 cents?

cblaisd Oct 9, 2015 5:55 pm

I'm complaining over a pattern of bait and switch. Since 9/10 of the offers of late that say they net 5 miles don't actually do so, that is a rather hefty and sneaky devaluation of the rewards.

diburning Oct 9, 2015 10:52 pm

I'd complain over the emails that say that I have offers available when I clearly don't.

bj2757 Oct 12, 2015 3:03 pm

I actually received a short reply from them today by email. Basically what it said was you can only get miles ONCE from each opportunity - then they listed the last 5 I completed and showed me where I had completed them before - up to 5 months ago! They send them out again, with the same instructions - but if you completed them before you don't get anything - I guess we have to remember every one we've already done.... I responded back to them but I can't repeat it here...
