I made redemptions for Alaska Airlines miles on 3/20 and 4/3. Miles never posted. I sent an email to inquire and now noticed the redemption history lists them as "terminated."
Geez, I hope my points show up back in my account tomorrow. Has anyone else ever gone through this scenario? UPDATE A WEEK LATER: Points are finally back in my account. Time to try to redeem again. |

A new eMiles is coming
... Miles are being renamed to points. The value of points is the same as miles. ... A link for "early access" has come by email. |

It can take time. I recently (several weeks ago) made a donation and ended up having to bug e-miles to post it.

Has anyone worked out how to find easily the 5 pts partner reward click surveys you used to get in opportunities on your home page in the old style site?
one benefit of the new site, it appears you get credited immediately for the successful completion of a survey. |
The T&C for IHG points now explicitly say:
IHG Rewards Club points earned through e-Miles count towards Elite Tier status. |
imho, the "overhaul" is the effective death of e-miles from a time management standpoint

Redeemed for 500 Alaska miles on 05/02/2017 - still visible as 'pending'. You're not waiting alone :-)
The first set of miles I redeemed with Alaska was July 10. I wasn't too worried since it's early til I read posts here. Hopefully, I don't need to make too much of a stink eventually because I'm doing it for my kids' Mileage Plans :o Opinion Terminal also just sent me a link through Alaska and a 400 mile first survey bonus. Again, was thinking to game it for all my kids. At least with IHG that Survey program is instant account deposit but I find Peanut Labs ends up being more time manageable and less likely to get kicked out of Surveys. |
My Alaska Air miles just posted; I did a e-miles redemption on 7/17. fyi and fwiw.
|
Mine just posted today too! a bunch from July. Guess I should shut up
|
I redeemed 500 e-miles into AS on June 6. They arrived on July 4. Given Randix's & Arch's posts above, it seems they post in batches on the 4th of every month.

I think you're likely right...

e-miles, rest in peace. |

Marketing trickery for which a lot of effort bears little fruit but much aggravation. Those simple 5 point partner "surveys" made it worthwhile, but I'm not about to spend my time jumping through hoops for all the other *rap... if I wanted to do that, I'd turn my clock back 10 years and go back to mypoints.
e-miles, rest in peace. I look for small point values on the list and look for the categories like "Visit" or "Watch". |
I tried that...

I look for small point values on the list and look for the categories like "Visit" or "Watch". The "new" layout of e-miles is not about simplicity, it's about marketing and non-transparency in exchange for your participation. Not worth my time or impatience, totally understand if it commands the attention of others. I'm sure those folks crunched the numbers of what brings them revenue, clearly they net more by the "mypoints" approach, than the simple format that we enjoyed for years. And I'm sure it's not a coincidence as reported over on the e-rewards thread, that redemption options for e-miles is not currently available...and from the sounds of the member who pursued that, it sounds like it will be available when I turn 172. |
It's actually much easier to earn free mypoints than to earn free e-miles. This has been true for quite some time, and is apparently even truer now!
|
Can anyone find a link on their new website to cancel membership in e-miles?

I find the current format more rewarding and it gets me to my 500 goal faster ... go the left column and click on surveys. Both, my and the wife, reached our goal in 2 days rather than the months nickle and dime-ing those 5 points. The only bad thing is the reports we read here about the Alaska transfers!
|
I agree, I almost never qualified on those surveys, so I just gave up. This has become the worst site of its kind, imho. tls
|
Another disappointment with the "new, improved" site:
For about three years, it has been possible to redeem points for UA miles at only the 250-point level. But the minimum for redemption has now been raised back up to the 500-point level. :( |
Has anyone noticed Peanut Labs rewards aren't getting deposited instantly into your emiles account?
This just started happening a few days ago, before, refresh the page and I my surveys were instantly deposited into emiles. Not since my last redemption on the 24th has it updated and I've done another few hundred worth. My last redemption took me down to exactly 0 points, I wonder if that had anything to do it. |
This has also happened to me, four times in a row: 2 for completed surveys that are showing as successfully completed, and 2 were one point each for disqualifications (which had been crediting immediately). The earlier of the 2 surveys was Friday, and I'm trying to figure out how long to wait to contact them.
So I don't think this has anything to do with the fact that you have 0 points, because I have over 200. tls |
same delay for me as well, and I have points
|
The points were in my account this morning. So all's well that ends well, but it's annoying that they're going back to the bad old days of a delay in having them credit. tls
|
Same here, I emailed them, it was fixed. Since yesterday, they've been updating instantly again.
Maybe, there were some global technical issues/scheduled maintenance over the last few days and now resolved. |
I have been trying for over six weeks now to redeem 500 points for American Airlines miles. eMiles states that it takes 30 days to transfer those points. After the 30 days passed, they stated to me that it takes 4-6 weeks. It has been over six weeks now and this transfer still has not taken place with the transfer listed as still "pending". I have to wonder if I will ever get these miles. IMO, it appears that eMiles may be committing consumer fraud as I have legally earned these points and they are illegally denying me the miles reward. I will be contacting the California Attorney General and making a complaint.

You must have some extraordinarily good luck with those awful Peanut Labs surveys. For me, they are mostly a huge waste of time. :td:

Do enough surveys and you see patterns of the relatively easy ones and the massive pain in the rear ones. The research now (55 points/10 minutes) surveys will often take longer than that but are generally reliable. Some of the others like IPSOS, I bail on because they're extremely unreliable and annoying.

Probably a futile exercise, but...
I contacted e-miles customer support this afternoon, asking when, if ever, e-miles award options would be offered on e-reward sites again...
See if they are any more forthcoming than e-reward customer service folks... Sigh...:( |

Anyone else getting "Failed" when they try to redeem for United Airlines, and if so any idea why this is happening?
|
from support
Thank you for contacting eMiles Support... ...Redemption failures can happen if the account information (i.e: Member number, name, etc.) entered on eMiles.com doesn't match the airlines/hotel database.
|
There are also current issues with United and MyPoints UA redemption. Fix reported there is that United recently decided to use zip code + 4 in your account info on their web site and if you corrected your zip code in your profile back to the five digit one the redemption would match things properly and go through
|
Thanks, that extra 4 digits in the zip is likely the culprit.
|
I (maybe unwisely) purchased through the Vitamin Shoppe link on emiles to get a bonus (250 emiles) back in Sept but it's never credited. I've written customer service at least 4-5 times to no avail. Is there any other way to do this? Once that credits I'll be able to redeem those miles and be done with them! They are awful since the change to the new system.
Thanks |
