E-miles [Master Thread]
When will we hear about the winner of the 100,000 mile giveaway that they spammed my inbox about?
|
I just redeemed my e-miles for Southwest points yesterday, how long do they usually take to post? I'm looking to book a flight within the next week or two and am wondering if I'll get them in time.

Hilton posting time/schedule
Does anyone have any experience with how frequently and on what schedule Hilton points post? I did an e-rewards redemption that was instant, and I was hoping e-miles posting would be similar, but it has now been about 10 days. I know that with a lot of the participating programs, e-miles/e-rewards post once a month around the end of the month/beginning of the next month, so I am hoping the points post tomorrow or over the weekend. But, I don't want to wait much longer than that for the points to post, and I think today is the last day to buy Hilton points at a discount. TIA for any information.

Ive been reading a lot about e-miles, is it truly worth the effort?

Despite my hostility towards the e-miles enterprise, I'm trying to get to (crawl my way to) 500 points so I can move to Hilton and be done. (I know, hardly worth the time and effort, but....)
In the past many months, virtually all of the offers were ones where you didn't get points simply for reading and answer the standard few questions, but had to actually click through and accept/sign up for/buy, whatever. Today I got the "You have new offers" email, I yawned, went to the site and found SIX offers that gave me five points each simply for reading. Can't remember when that happened last. |
Hey Cblaisd, I'm a member of their UA version, which now offers transfers to miles at the 250 level. Check out whether their HH version offers the same, so you can get out early!

I wonder why they can't "expedite" the deposits. I've done a number of transfers to UA this past year, including most recently on Apr. 14, and they've all credited to my UA account immediately. All, that is, until today's request for a redemption. It seems odd that they'd lose the ability to do this. Hopefully we'll at least get them at the beginning of the month.

The UA transfer I requested on 4/20 hit my account today. Things should be back to normal, hopefully.

Hey guys, I'm relatively new to e-miles, when I joined there was the usual X + Y offers like 5 + 15 for the New Jersey Travel Guide and there was a section for Peanut Labs surveys. The first day I joined under Peanut Labs there was like 10 surveys to do some 33 miles some 50 miles etc I could not finish all that day. When I logged in the next day there was none available although I left some from the previous day and every time I came back since then click Peanut Labs it says no surveys available. This was a month ago and the same thing every time.
Have I done something wrong? e-miles doesn't make sense if you only do the 5 and 10 miles offers and don't get any surveys |

Anyone with some help here? How often do you get peanut labs surveys |
I don't get any emailed to me, but there are almost always 10 surveys on the survey page of their web site, and after I take one or am disqualified from one, the page typically (but not always) refreshes such that another one becomes available. So there are many opportunities, but I find it's more difficult to qualify for one of their surveys than for other survey outfits'. tls

Also as tls alludes to. most feel that Peanut Labs have a higher-than-normal incidence of frustrated non-completes, and some of them will take you from attempt to attempt, though that matters little since they give you nothing for nonqualifications. Why you don't have any more, I'm afraid I have no real idea. I suppose there's the chance you may have done something "wrong," like it feels you're a fraudster. (Not judging, just guessing at a cause, and moreover I wouldn't trust their software to accurately figure it out or they'd be better targeted than they are.) And yes, 5-mile reading bonuses are pretty tough to get very far with on e-miles, especially since now lots of their offers don't even have the 5-mile reading bonuses. You could stick it out to get to your first reward, anyway, and see if the surveys restart. It'll take a while, but it's free any the offers usually stay up 5 days to a week or so, so if you went twice weekly you'd get them. Personally, I get most of my e-miles from charitable donations...I give a certain amount to charity anyway so getting miles from them is a plus, even though they're not the greatest charities in some cases. Of course, you might not be that much worse off not getting the Peanut surveys...I just spent an hour and ended up with 32 lousy miles. Whatever you do, if you get one from "Ampario," just close it. They just suck up a bunch of the same generic information every time and quit midway. Emphasis I guess on "they suck."

I have the best luck with the 31 mile ones from Research Now that seem to be live around lunchtime.

Points still not posting after six weeks
Is anyone else experiencing a longer-than-normal wait time for points to post? I redeemed about six weeks ago for IHG points and they are still pending. I'm curious if others are having similar experiences.

If you are willing to do a trial and give your credit card, you'll sometimes see options to get 300 miles for signing up. I've had 2 of these int he past year. Of course, be sure to cancel in the trial period otherwise you'll get billed.

Thanks for the update - my points have now posted
|
Mine just posted as well. Thanks for letting us know about the delay.
|
Well, I just redeemed for 250 UA miles, and they did not automatically credit. They're listed as pending. Typically (including as recently as 2 days ago) they credit immediately. I guess this issue is back, but hopefully not for long. tls
|
I redeemed for 250 United miles yesterday and it posted immediately.
|
Well, my miles were in my account this morning, so they posted in less than 24 hours. Not bad in the general scheme of things, although I'm not sure why the delay. tls
|
Looks like they've added the whole Peanut Labs ad wall to the survey area for US folks at least. If you're the sort who picks pennies up off the ground or need a handful of points to get a redemption, the health click throughs that say 'engage with the site for 10 seconds' credit best when you then click on the drug ad of the health site and let it sit for a bit.
|
Can you redeem from more than one account if in the same name to a flyer programme using the same account number?
|
Lifescript Advantage click throughs: payout is 25-45 miles if you do them on the Peanut Labs surveys page instead of 15 miles on the e-miles home page. They're the ones that will offer a sample of toothpaste or shampoo or such.
You can often get one of these a day by going through a Chrome incognito window. Fill out an e-mail address (does not have to be tied to the one you signed up with as far as anyone's ever figure out) and then the page with address and such. I think I actually did get a sample of Excedrin from them once in the mail but it's not really about the samples, ya know? Do like one or two of the 'do you want more span: yes or no' and then just let it sit for a few minutes. Once you get past page two, it will either credit shortly or not without going through the whole thing to the end, and no one in the GPT game has ever really been able to figure out why. |
Strange -- AA invited me for 250 miles. Yeah, thanks, got the free miles, bye e-miles
In January, American Airlines invited me with a "free 250 miles" for completing 1 of those e-mile thingies. Now, in the past, I was with Northwest Airlines and used e-miles to bump that account, then they merged with Delta----I closed the account as their "5 mile" free-bees started to come less and less, with a ton of videos watching people and animals in need. Sickening.
US Airways then invited me with 250 miles. I stayed with them 'til it was 1000 miles----canceled the account, same reason. US Airways then merged with American, bumping the 1000 to AAdvantage. Well come January 2017, AA invited me for the 250. Did all that BS which made my account to 410 in 1 day. Had to go through the same "junk" 'til mid-February until it was 500. Transferred them to AA, finally arrived in March. And what did I do with my e-miles account. Junked it like the others. ^ |
Lucky you. I have not had any of those 5 mile freebees at all in 2017. My earned miles are now orphaned on that account because I don't do any of the offers since 80% of the offers are scams anyway.
|
I have been having decent luck with the Peanut Labs 50 miles for 10 minutes (actual time to complete varies) surveys when attempted late afternoon/early evening.

You're lucky. In fact I sent e-miles this email yesterday: Quote:

I got invited by AA:
"Do your miles need a boost? Earn 500 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles when you enroll in e-Miles®, a leading rewards program. Grow your miles while enjoying great offers from the world’s top brands. Every engagement brings you closer to your next destination. Joining is easy: click on the special invitation-only link below to start." When I clicked on the link, at the bottom of the T & C it states in order to qualify for the 500 AA miles, I need to participate in 3 offers within 90 days. Does verifying e-mail (10 e-miles), completing my biodata and taking the initial survey of my interest (5 and 10 e-miles) count towards the aforementioned 3 offers? |
Is there still a sing-up Bonus? If yes, how do I know which Airline/Hotelchain offers any?
