Just booked ARN-DOH-SIN return in business (R) on A350-900/A350-1000 (QSuite)/A350-1000 (QSuite)/787-8 at the end of March with 2 nights in Singapore plus an afternoon/evening in Doha. Positioning / Return flights in BA CE. Approx 1600 euro in total which I'm pleased with for 640 TPs and fine wine tasting to boot. Very excited to say the least!

Just Singapore hotels to book, wondering whether bolting a hotel onto the Qatar flight booking will be worth while.

well done, will fly the same route end of this week, 640 TP (BA I assume), that's a lot is that due to distance in miles or just a total with connecting flights?
just reading a report on SIN Hotel deal, which we never ever get again ergh

It's to renew my BAEC Silver.
LHR-ARN/ARN-LHR (BA CE) = 40+40TP
ARN-DOH-SIN/SIN-DOH-ARN (Qatar business) = 140+140+140+140TP

Apologies if pointing out the obvious, but you need to have 4 flights on BA to renew silver.

I already have two BA metal flights under my belt plus the BA positioning/return LHR-ARN/ARN-LHR gives me the 4.
You're right to mention it though as it's easy to get tied up with just the TPs and forget the required number of BA eligible flights.

Found a corporate code that reduced the SOF-PVG fare from BGN 2.754 to BGN 2.350 (EUR 1.408 to EUR 1.201). Code should have expired already but is still working, other destinations might work also according to the terms.
Hesistant to use it myself as I am not sure if eligibilty is checked after booking.

PM me for the code if you would like to use it (at your own risk)

Edit: code seems to work from SOF only but to almost all destinations
Edit 2: code takes 19% off the base rate
Edit 3. should have clarified that I tried business class only

Just got a targeted email Flash-Sale, for 48-hours only and flights up to 30th November, ex-BKK ... but it only drops a return to London by B500 (US$ 15 or so) so not really interested. I guess that's the anticipated/targeted second-stage of the January-Sale, which they wanted our points-of-origin for !

I haven’t monitored past sales, but I’ve read elsewhere that they used to have a partner sale mid February...

many thanks to jeroen for sending code but unfortunately it is now expired, I would have gave it a whirl ;-)

I booked the same SOF - PVG flight for May for USD 1601 all in, as I need to fly on QR metal a few times this year

this is the best QR fare in J that I have seen and I needed to be in China anyhow
