Ask yourself if EUR 208 for MAA-DOH worth it or EUR 417 for DOH-AMS? I think that they are probably a slight bargain but I am not sure. I would persnally accept the offer.

I did not get an email, but see the offer while doing online check-in.
Are the conditions, especially regarding baggage allowance, the same? This is the set of T&Cs I was pointed to during the process of upgrading: https://www.qatarairways.com/en/offe...fer-terms.html. There seems to be no additional baggage allowance for taking up this upgrade?
Anyway the upgrade prices I was offered are:

The T&Cs you quote are specifically for the E-mail offers received prior to airport check-in opening. What they have to do with an OLCI upgrade offer I do not know. Maybe QR are trying to treat two different situations as one ignoring the differences. Airport cash upgrades have not been subject to increasing restrictions as Qmiles and Qcredit airport upgrades recently have been. So maybe this is an attempt to get all types on similar conditions.
E-mail cash upgrade offers have had varying T&Cs depending n geography. This is as stated in your link which states " This offer is only applicable to the flight upgrade specified above, and does not include access to premium lounges or additional baggage allowance." (My bold)

New to FT! Usually lurk but actually have something substantive to offer!
QR10 - LHR-DOH - 543 GBP received 5 days before the flight Booking class W!

I don't think I can convince my fianc to upgrade which is a shame, J would be a great way to see the A380 for the first time! She seems to think telling them we are on our honeymoon would get us an upgrade... I'm pretty sure that only works in 80's movies!

Ba Club Europe and J on Qatar are galaxies apart. IMO the lounge experience at Heathrow, the in flight dining and drinks on either the suites or a380( due to the bar) are phenomenal.
I would say you have zero chance of a honeymoon upgrade as you have no status with qatar etc. They will have platinum and gold passengers travelling in economy who would be upgraded first. Also J on this route tends to be fairly busy.
That said the economy experience on qatar is really good as well.

Hi guys - does anyone know is QR is offering discounted paid upgrades from Y to J at check-in in Doha? I have an A380 DOH-LHR flight coming up in a few weeks, and was wondering what my chances were to upgrade at the airport.
Also, how healthy are these J cabin loads on the DOH-LHR route? I haven't seen a lot of people receiving upgrade offers by email for these flights!

Got an economy class BEY-DOH redemption flight (O class, completely booking using miles) for February 15. I just received an upgrade offer from Y to F (it's one of Qatar's Middle East 2-cabin route) for USD 350.
I didn't know QR offered online upgrades to people holding O class redemption tickets!

A little over 4 hours on a 320? For me, it wouldn't be worth the additional spend, especially with no Al Safwa access.

Hi Dr,
axtually the flight is operated on their 777-300 featuring their standard 2-2-2 J cabin configuration, which i personally like. They also just opened up there own brand new QR lounge in Beirut (I took a tour of it without actually using the facilities a few weeks ago... impressive.)
that beinh said, the flight was for my mom, and she decided it wasnt worth the extra cash
side note: I junk the GCC. Blockade has incentivized Qatar to invest in other routes such as BEY. They are now regularly flying their Dreamliner, 777, and A350s on the DOH-BEY route.

Got the following offer today:

I am flying QR909 SYD-DOH the day before but got no offer for that leg.
