Can anyone speak to upgrading a Class T economy fare?
Per the wiki, it is obviously not that common (I see just 3 mentions, 1 ATH & 2 SIN). As far as I know, T is one of the cheapest economy fare classes so I am not surprised, just wondering if anyone knows any specifics about the chances.
Am flying ATL-DOH-KUL in October. Assuming I just have to wait and see if I get emailed with an offer in the days prior to departure.

quick question.. do u get upgrade offers in case you book last minute also.. i have a trip planned next week and I will be flying QR, but the ticket will be booked 1-2 days out only.. can I expect an upgrade offer ?

Almost certainely "No". Normally these offers come in - if they do at all - 7-14 days in advance.

I have a question that may already have been answered within posts (but not in the wiki). I am a Platinum member and over the last 5 years, probably have averaged 30 sectors a year on QR mostly to North America, Europe and Africa, purchasing all of my tickets in class V or higher in Economy. But I have never once received an offer via email for these cash upgrades. Am I missing something? I subscribe to the Qatar mailing list and receive other offers like the Global Travel Boutique and the double and triple miles offers, but never the cash upgrades. Over the last several years, I have almost exclusively used Qmiles and Qcredits to upgrade almost all of my long hauls. From reading the wiki, it seems to me that most of these offers were for O class tickets. Does this have to do with which class the ticket is booked? Any insights or advice is appreciated. I think if I had decent offers, I would probably take full advantage of them and would like to receive these offers via email. Thanks in advance.

ashbjr your observation is correct. E-mail upgrades are usually offered to the lower ticketing classes which are often not upgradable with miles (T ,O, W and G). The price is also set to the lower fares.
So QRs thinking appears to be that Qmiles/Qpoint will be used for the higher ticketing classes that can be upgraded and the E-mail offers are for the lowest classes which cannot otherwise be upgraded.
If you look at the Wiki then you will find exceptions! "Consistent inconsistancy".
