Question ahead- please advise if not the right place to ask.
I have a flight booked with Royal Jordanian Oct 9. CAI>AMM>ORD that I will end up cancelling one way or the other because the rest of my trip is already cancelled
I already cancelled the flights to CAI under RJs current dates for cancellation through Covid-related Sept 1 date. Have been watching and waiting for RJ to extend the Sept 1 and they still haven't done that.
Definitely realize that any next increment may still not cover Oct 9 AND that it is still a gamble whether they will eventually extend to include my date of travel but I think it is a definite eventuality so waiting.
Now the questions- Is RJ waiting till the end date of one refund window before extending? Am I correct thinking it likely that the AMM airport will not be opening any time soon? (I've tried to keep up on Jordan's news, etc. but I'm not a regular RJ traveler so looking for some insight)
Thanks

Does anyone know how to book specific seats on RJ? Use AA miles to book an RJ flight and, even though I can find the reservation on RJ.com using my booking code, there is no place to select seats. Is it really necessary to call in to reserve specific seats? Thanks.

Royal Jordanian seat selection in advance
Hi,
I'm booked to travel business class AMM-CAI-AMM in November this year. The a/c are embraer 195s.
I have been able to select seats on RJ on longer sectors but not these.
Maybe there a issue for shorter sectors or maybe some uncertainty over which a/c will operate these routes?

Assuming the layover is <24h, I can recommend Madaba as an alternative to Amman.

I wonder if anyone can confirm the following. I have a LHR-AMM-DOH flight booked with 45 min layover (all on one ticket booked directly from RJ website). RJ just sent an email where my AMM-DOH flight is changed to almost 12 hours later making my layover around 13 hours. Should I expect RJ provide transit accommodation? The flight is in economy (in fact I booked cheapest economy fare available - "Economy Saver").
If transit accommodation can be provided do I have to do anything in advance? Do I need to mention at check in or at arrival?
I have a UK passport and will be taking a PCR covid test before I leave.
Thank you for any guidance.

Using some AA miles to book an RJ flight with the first leg from DTW-YUL-AMM. The layover in YUL would be 1:00, but it would be the same plane. I know I wouldn't need to clear customs, but would I still need to exit the plane and/or clear security if I'm just staying on the plane to continue to AMM?

Yesterday I arrived in DOH on RJ (LHR-AMM-DOH). RJ had cancelled my original AMM-DOH flight so now my layover was just over 12 hours instead of 45 minutes. My fare was the cheapest economy possible.
At AMM I asked if they would provide overnight accommodation at their airport hotel. They briefly discussed among themselves and then offered the hotel accommodation provided I took a PCR test that would cost me 20JD (£22). I agreed. The test took about half an hour to arrange after which I was escorted through immigration (free transit visa) and on a shuttle bus to the hotel. Breakfast was free but basic. I had access to RJ lounge and had breakfast at the airport instead.

You will stay airside. But if you choose to leave the airport you will have to undergo a PCR test (please read my previous post). There's many PCR test booths just near the transit desk.
