Inner Circle is definitely worth it. Would be worth more if they had more Kimptons around the country, and Canada. But then, they'd probably make it harder to get free nights.
The best perk is the upgrade. For example, at the Prescott in San Francisco, if you've booked a regular room, which is kind of yucky, you'll get upgraded to the club level, which is much nicer, and comes with a decent continental breakfast.
Also, they ask you for your likes and preferences. And they'll try hard to accommodate those in your welcome gift. I've had a goldfish in a bowl, a mango, fruit plates, exotic chocolate confections, etc., waiting for me when I entered my room on various occasions.
The VIP phone line is actually shared by all intouch members, so I don't think there are any other perks.

Inner Circle Status Match
This is absolutely worth having. Kimpton has a cool vibe and the price point is good. They don't have any 5 star properties but plenty of "hip" 4 star locations. I simply emailed them my SPG Gold Card and they gave me Inner Circle. On my first stay (ever at a Kimpton) I was upgraded to a huge suite and showered with amenities and gifts. I just wish they had more properties. I have three stays at Kimpton in the next two weeks I was so impressed. Above and beyond any recognition I have received even when I was GP Diamond and SPG Platinum.

The comp night at new properties appears to still be in place or newly returned. Just received an email inviting me to a free night at the Surfcomber in Miami and the Palomar in San Diego.

A big WELCOME to the Kimpton InTouch team!
I love Kimptons and enjoy the perks of being Inner Circle. Most important to us: being able to bring our two little schnauzers along on some road trips!
We've received fabulous upgrades and especially appreciate advance emails from the hotel managers, inquiring after our needs.
Next stop: Chicago's Hotel Palomar in two weeks . . . can't wait!

That's a breath of fresh air to finally have a Kimpton Rep onboard. Welcome!
Just spent the weekend at the Palomar SF and Prescott, my two favorite properties in SF!

I travel at least every other week to my work's home office in San Francisco (SAN-SFO or SAN-OAK). Very light for FlyerTalk.
Work just negotiated a corporate rate with two local-to-them hotels: one a Wyndham (Parc 55), the other a Kimpton (Sir Francis Drake). I'd been building up Marriott nights (the Courtyard in SoMa is the only really close hotel), so I was annoyed at first that those will likely be wasted. But I've enjoyed my (hitherto infrequent and in the distant past) stays at Kimpton properties. Our first was at the Monticello Inn when that was a Kimpton property, and we had several stays at Hotel Vintage Plaza PDX.
So I'll be building up InTouch stays/nights instead.
And, particularly, it's great to hear people have had such good experiences with Kimpton InTouch. I was debating the Wyndham program vs. Kimpton, and I think this makes up my mind in favor of Kimpton. ^
I don't have Marriott status yet (the job started in November, so everything reset for the calendar year), so I can't ask to be comped InTouch status based on that. Just wish I could magically "transfer" the stays from the other program. Oh well, shouldn't take more than a couple/three months to earn KIT Inner Circle...
PS: Now they just need hotels in Hawaii and Austin...

Thanks you Maggie and it is great to see you and the rest of the InTouch team on Flyertalk. I believe that you REALLY love your InTouch members - after a recent stay at the Palomar in LA I told a colleague that my new goal in life is to have everyone (both people and businesses) treat me as well as Kimpton does.

Hotel Monaco - Seattle
Have been a Kimpton fan for a few years. Thanks to another FTer who introduced me to them. Just stayed at the Hotel Monaco - Seattle last weekend for 3 nights. As always, it was GREAT. The staff here is just amazing. Kimpton "gets" what hospitality means. I'm in DC next weekend at the Palomar (2nd time). I just wish Kimpton would build a property in Charlotte
