I'm not sure how this very long list of destinations fits with your use of the word "relaxation" unless you're able to devote several months to the trip. Be that as it may: you don't seem interested in visiting anywhere on the way to or from Asia and Australasia (in particular western US or Europe) so I can't see any good reason to consider a RTW.

... would be my preferred option. Book open jaws and/or make good use of stopover rules. Buy 'local' flights for cash or miles depending on what's a good deal, choosing the class of travel based on how long the segments are.

Your question and its responses will be moved soon, I hope, as this thread actually has a different purpose: a reference thread listing routes on which OW carriers operate F service.

I will consider that. That said, what are the best intra-Asian One World flights in F? I think that seems consistent with this thread...

Looking around for F flights on OW, can't seem to find anything between PEK and NRT.

Can folks help me find the best F flights if I want to go to these cities?

BOS-HKG-NRT-PEK-PNH-HTY-BOS

I want to keep BOS-HKG bc I can take CX via JFK. But the rest I'm not so picky about. Suggestions?

[QUOTE=tennisboy;21461804]Looking around for F flights on OW, can't seem to find anything between PEK and NRT.

JAL is the only oneworld carrier flying direct PEK-NRT or PEK-HND and neither city offers first class configurations. To get first class between these two cities using oneworld in Asia you could try PEK-HKG on Dragonair (A333 has First seats) and then use Cathay HKG-NRT or HKG-HND on a few of the flights that do offer First (77W and certain 744).

But if HKG is my first stop, and then I want to go to PEK and Tokyo, how could I do it in F? Can I go HKG-PEK on Dragon and then PEK-NRT or HND in F on JAL? I did notice one flight a day is on the 787, albeit in business.

The other option is to go BOS-NRT on JAL on the 787, but I hear that is an inferior F product to CX's BOS-JFK-HKG product. Thoughts on that too??

Thanks

yeah one can safely say in Oneworld CX has the best F product, with QF maybe second

787's do not have first class

The 787s don't even have full-flat seats in J. Why JAL used old seats on a new plane is beyond me.

Ouch, OK. Good to know re the 787 on JAL. We may be forced to fly NRT-BOS or BOS-NRT if our routing works out to have too many HKG's in the segments, but with Malaysia Airlines on board now we may use KUL as a secondary jump off point (to HKT or Siem Riep) to avoid too many HKG segments.

People have told me to add Kyoto and Karabi and Bali and Myanmar too. We can't do all of those on top of PEK, HKG, NRT, HKT and Siem Riep but we can maybe add one or so. Thoughts on these?

I don't like CX's F seat. It has narrow foot space. Haven't tried the new F bedding but the old one was simply uncomfortable as you can feel the bumps easily. Not to mention the catering definitely and service level consistency have a lot of room for improvement.

[MODERATOR HAT ON]

Please limit posts in this thread to discussions of Oneworld first class routes, rather than specific itineraries, issues with individual FFP award rules, and so on. Questions and comments regarding airline FFPs should be directed to that airline's forum, not the Oneworld board. Thanks for keeping this thread on point.

I don't think domestic sub-1,000 mile flights would be a good use of a segment. Actually 2 segments since you would have to go back to HND.

It's up to the one paying for the ticket to decide. This thread is not to list routes with F service which we think are good use of a segment. It is to maintain a list of routes with F service so people can easily decide and plan for their itineraries. That's why I pointed out those routes are missing from the list.
