If this was designed as humor, perhaps it belongs over in TravelBuzz or OMNI or something more appropriate?
Seems to me that the OP was just using this to vent and didn't really want any help, suggestions, advice, etc.
The OP has still yet to affirm whether or not they took it up with NW yet. Sorry, it just seems to me IMO that this kind of thing should be handled in the backchannels. I stand by my original statement that really, nothing good can come from this thread.
...except of course for a little "humor".

Well, on the whole page of NW threads, this was the first one I clicked, and I was not disappointed, it has been thoroughly entertaining. Therefore, I must wholeheartedly and utterly disagree.
Then again, I do have the word "hog" in my handle.

Easter Costume gone awry?
I know it was Easter few days ago.....could it be that the costume they had just didn't work out as well as it was hoped?
I don't think it would be fair to penalize an employee getting in the spirit of the Easter holiday.....maybe their costume went awry somehow and what you saw was the result?!
Maybe you should have asked why they were dressed the way they were. Many times, it's to cheer the passengers for a joyful trip but not too often do they get an immediate feedback. Feedback through comment line like nwa.com is too late. You should have a gentler way of letting them know what you think.

Yes - something along these lines to the next pax in line would have worked well.
"Is, uh,... Is she a goer, eh? Know whatahmean, know whatahmean, nudge nudge, know whatahmean, say no more? A nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat!" - (some Monty Python guy)

I suppose the intent here was to vent, but also to see if others had seen such a blatant disregard for professionalism and company standards systemwide, and/or to see if NWA is in such dire straits that the core basics of professionalism are a thing of the past.
I didn't really intend to make this a humorous post. Standards of professionalism at NWA are, as evidenced by this woman, in serious decline. Interestingly, I have had a similar issue with my own employees showing up out of uniform, in jeans....(I don't work for NWA, rather a hotel), and it's a matter of supervision and the "desire" of management to run a tight ship. Show up to work looking like that (in my world, anyway...) will get the employee sent home, without pay, until they show up properly attired.
As a matter of fact, I used this incident as a training topic the very next day with my management staff. My hotel is 25 years old, and in need of a serious renovation, yet we can dress and act properly (what we wouldn't give to have a physical building like DTW...). DTW is a gorgeous, sparkling world class facility, yet one improperly supervised staff member blew the whole image.

Gentle? Wow. I don't think there is a gentle way to say: Honey, I think you're dressed like a slut..." That should come from her boss.

Seems to me that if you've had this much time to vent and post about it on FT, you could have written an email or made a phone call.
Oh, well. I guess FT is becoming free therapy for some NW flyers these days.

Whether or not the OP has or hasn't contacted NW is really irrelevant to us all being able to discuss this. I don't think that anyone on here thinks that FT is a substitute for contacting NW and we have countless threads where various FTers complain, discuss, or vent. This is certainly on-topic for this board.
I've noticed at DTW more than anywhere else that the level of service has dropped dramatically and the apathy of GAs has gone through the roof. I've even had one say to me and another customer (sic) "What do you want from me? They pay us $8/hr now and I'm losing my house. Screw management."
As bad as the GAs are here at DCA in terms of rudeness, at least they're not totally apathetic.
