This...this is just petty over-reaction, IMO, and isn't doing any good other than causing a few laughs on an Internet bulletin board.
By the responses that have been solicited so far, I would say that your opinion is greatly outnumbered. Your "contribution" is so far, ahem, the only overreaction that I have seen.

Have you "had the time" yet to write NW? Still haven't answered that one yet, partner...

Yes, "partner", the letter and photo have been emailed. Would you like to know the results of the investigation? I will be glad to share their response upon receipt.

But why oh why are you so intrigued by this matter if you find it so ridiculous? Again, I point to the overwhelmingly positive response in agreement with my OP. Very few agree with your position. but then, I suppose that very few paying passengers, Elite or not, support the demise of NWA, as evidenced by the apalling appearance of this very visible individual.

Do you support her "right" to work, looking like a cheap hooker?

I don't really care about the outcome, but I have little doubt that you'll share it anyway.

I'm not intrigued by this matter. Rather, I'm puzzled why it's a big enough issue to make a thread about it here, especially since the thread doesn't get seen by NWA, the only people who can bring about your requested change.

I don't care one iota if others express "positive agreement" with your OP. I'm not a sheep: I don't vote like a sheep, I don't form my opinions like a sheep, and I'm not going to "fall in line" with the majority if I feel differently than them.

I support a person's right to wear what they want within the boundaries of decency and company policy. Since I have not seen the "outfit" in question, and the details of NW's dress-code has not been dissected here yet, I'm not going to take a position on the agent in question other than to say if you have a beef, take it up with NW and not with FlyerTalk.

I hope there's a resolution that satisfies you. Otherwise you could join all the other "sheep" who are jumping NW's ship for various reasons. Happy trails, partner.

Edit: Oh, saw your profile doesn't list NW. I guess I owe you a belated welcome you to the WorldPerks forum, too. Perhaps you'd have less trouble with the agent's attire if you stuck to US, DL, and CO.

.

Don't bet for a MINUTE that NWA doesn't see this forum. There are many NWA employees who read and contribute to this forum. There are undoubtedly many unofficial NWA lurkers. They would be foolish NOT to read feedback from their most loyal, and vocal, customers. You can't get this feedback from focus groups or comment cards.

I suspect that by the time that I get an official response from NWA, this thread will have long since disappeared. So, NO, I'm not interested in subjecting you to their response, unless you request it. How dare you suggest that I would do otherwise.

Forgive me for thinking that you're intrigued here; you've replied frequently enough (albeit with unpopular and hostile opinions), so one might think that you are interested. But then, not being a sheep, you must have such precision and clarity of thought that you clearly support the hooker's appearance and her "right to offend". You haven't said anything as to the appropriateness of her obnoxious attire, yet you've blantantly blasted me for being critical.

As to me, (thanking you warmly for your kind welcome to the NW forum in FT), I'm new to NWA, as an Elite, but I've been flying NWA since BEFORE YOU WERE BORN. I jumped ship years ago due to service, attitude, and the condition of DTW, but have given them a 2nd chance to EARN my business, after they reached out to me. Out of 16 segments so far, they have done a great job on 15 of them. The Hooker tarnished their otherwise professional image.

Do you support such unprofessional conduct? A yes or no will suffice. I challenge you to defend this individuals appearance. (A quick look at the responses to your statements on the "NW trollers" thread (pot calling the kettle black) supports my position that you are here simply to inflame, not to contribute).

FWIW, do you have any idea what financial contribution NWA made to the McNamara terminal? They were a co partner with Wayne County in developing that terminal, not just a tenant. Why do you think that they had exclusive occupancy rights for so long?

To make it simpler for those having trouble with this: The concept of a 'dress code' would apply to reservations and headquarters staff only since airport employees aren't given guidelines on what type of outfits are acceptable, but rather are required to wear uniforms. She was apparently out of uniform. Distastefully so, according to the OP. If it were just a bad dye job and bad makeup, I don't think that there would be any call to complain, but that's not the case here. When she's at work, she's representing Northwest airlines and as a front-line employee, is NW's face to the public.

OK - can we get back to this thread being funny now?

peace,
~Ben~

On a personnel issue, you're unlikely to receive any response from NW. If you're really lucky, you might get a "thanks for writing".

On the other hand, this is a discussion forum. If you're not willing to provide the followup, please spare us the drama.

He didn't see the attire in question. We've all seen your posts. Some people might prefer to speak to what they personally see and not respond to rumor & innuendo.

I doubt many, if any, of the regulars in this forum would question SchmutzigMSP 's standards. You're really out on a limb here.

If you go out any farther, the limb's gonna break.

Whoopee.

We've been trying to get SchmutzipMSP to show up at one of our get-togethers, and one of these days we'll succeed. Any sheep in attendance will be shorn.

NW would probably have all the employees dress like hookers. After all; they just "screwed them all for money"

After 1,726 posts you REALLY think no one from Northwest sees this; many companies today have people whose job include monitering internet message boards and chatrooms - heck I know companies that were doing so back in the late 1999.

Considering the press FT has gotten in the past, I am sure the GREAT majority of board on here are seen by company officals.
