I can't even remember the last time I've been here (EE) and didn't drive off in either an Audi, a BMW, or an Infiniti. Sometimes you have to pester the guy walking the lot, but they give up the goods quickly.
Agree. New EC Executive here (Amex). Went to LAX Thursday afternoon and found the executive isle full of CX-5's, Nissan's, Chevy's and a couple of Challengers. Remembered your post and went and asked the lady prowling the lot. She said they had nothing initially but then came back shortly afterwards with a brand new Cadillac CTS with 3 miles (!) on it. Unfortunately, spent most of my time in the car crawling around in LA traffic

At least you're sitting in traffic comfortably

I'm in a 2019 Mini Countryman right now and that is SSAR. The 2019 Cooper convertible was STAR.

Coming in in 2 weeks. Having a LCAR reservation. Whats usually been rented out what that type of reservation lately? If i ask nicely could i be lucky to snag off a full size SUV or so? I would like to avoid converitbles as we will be driving a lot, and we need the trunk space..

So have anyone notifced what there has been at the luxury row lately there? Thank you

Heading to LAX this week. Newly EC Exec via Amex Plat...do they walk you out to the aisle? Don't have the option of going on your own and picking whatever you want? And is there a separate Exec Elite area that I'll be shunned from?

There are no escorts, you will walk the aisle on your own and select the car you wan't. If you are a legitimate Executive Elite, you can choose from either the Executive Aisle or the Emerald Aisle, but not any of the speciality aisles, those are off-limits except where you are taking a car from the specific category you reserved.

Just Executive, which is bestowed via the Amex Platinum card. Exec Elite I'd have to rent quite a bit more and that's just not going to happen. Don't travel for business much anymore.

I have an Alamo LCAR booked a week Friday at 19:00. Is there any chance of a CTS instead of an XTS, or something better from upstairs if I ask nicely? (I guess there's no CT6 or Continentals yet)
Can I sign up for Emerald Club without renting from National?
Have I exhausted my quota of questions in one post!!?

Always a chance, though I've seen more XTS's around. Doesn't hurt to ask and you can sign up for Emerald Club without renting.

You could have waited a day or so to sign up for Emerald Club with a referral link during the start of the annual 1-2 Free promotion. This would have allowed the lucky referrer to get a referral bonus towards a free day, which can be used for an expensive one-way.

I've got a Compact SUV reserved for next weekend. Reservation says "Ford Ecosport or similar", National's site says Jeep Renegade. Has anyone seen any other cars in this aisle? Regular EC, no other status.
