ES was slim pickings this morning (3/4) - a Challenger, a basic-looking Jeep Liberty, and a 2010 Taurus Limited with 14K miles, which is what I took.

EA was more interesting, with a 2011 Jetta among the mix of Altimas, Camrys, Impalas, and a Grand Marquis.

I picked up a week long rental on Feb. 14. It was late when I came in, and the lot is not well lit so I didn't get a good look at everything. But I was happy with the white 2011 Lincoln MKS parked next to the booth in the ES.

The lack of gate check-out at this location means that the cars have no keys inside... so my usual browsing inside a lot of vehicles was not possible anyway.

The Lincoln is a nice ride, btw (despite being nicknamed the "pimpmobile" during the trip, lol).

On the ES at 10pm tonight (3/10):
- (2) 2011 Chevy Camaros
- (1) Grand Marquis
- (2) 2010 300 Tourings

Was very tempted to take a Camaro, but with 3 others and luggage, I realized it wouldn't be the smartest move. I took one look at the small trunk and realized I probably would be able to fit, at most, 2 of our suitcases.

On the EA were:
- Several Dodge Avengers (2010s)
- Grand Marquis
- Several Impalas (at least one less than month old)
- 2011 Jetta
- 2010 Prius

I took the Prius with about 13K miles. My only previous hybrid experience was a test drive of a Toyota Highlander Hybrid a couple years ago. It takes a little getting used to the dead silence at a stoplight (first reaction was that the car died).

Of course, one thing the agent at the booth forgot to mention (and maybe didn't know) -- we went into a tsunami warning just before our plane landed at HNL.

Good luck out there. CNN is showing the first waves starting to hit Kauai, but so far its not looking strong...yet. Just a 2ft rise so far..

Picked up 3/25 around 11:30 AM. ES had 2 cadillac DTS,300, and a challenger. EA had the usual sonatas, impalas, camrys, etc.

I ended up taking the DTS but wow what a disappointment. Feels like the old oldsmobile my parents used to have in the 90's. Even the turn direction stalk is still the same design from way back then. The CTS I got last November was much better than the DTS.

The Camaro's sound like they would be a ton of fun, minus trying to put any amount of luggage in the trunk. Hmm... Hopefully they have a solid selection when I get there next month.

Picked up a 1 day rental 6/2 at 5:30p.

ES had:
- 2012 VW CC
- 2011 VW Tiguan
- Jeep Liberty
- Dodge Challenger

EA had:
- Malibu
- 2011 Dodge Avenger
- VW Jetta
- 2011 Chrysler 300 (!)

I wanted the 2011 300, but the booth agent said he was holding it for someone who requested it. I took the CC (tag=PCAR) instead with 1,500 miles, which was just as nice...

Picked up a 1-day rental 6/30, late afternoon.

ES had:
- 2011 Buick Lucerne
- 2012 VW CC
- 2x 2010 Chrysler 300 Touring
- 2x 2011 Chrysler 300 Limited

EA had:
- 2011 Ford Fusion
- 2011 VW Jetta
- 2010 Toyota Prius
- Crown Victoria
- Malibu

I took one of the two red 2011 300 Limiteds. I'll post my impressions in a short ride review. While I previously avoided the 2010 300 (after trying it once; nothing wrong with it, just not very interesting), I'd gladly take the 2011 model.

8/11 at around 9 PM - ES had 2 Lincoln MKS , a VW Tiguan and one other SUV I can't remember. Took the MKS which was nice.

When I went to return the car on 8/14 around 6:30 PM, the ES only had
a Crown Victoria.

Picked up this morning.

ES had:
- VW CC
- 2010 Lincoln MKS
- Buick Lucerne
- Kia Sorrento
- Ford Escape
- Jeep Liberty
- 2012 Volvo S60

Debated between the S60 and MKS; took the former since I haven't driven one and the MKS was "well experienced" given that it was a 2010.

Picked up around noon on a Friday.

ES had:
- 2x 2011 Chrysler 300 Limiteds
- VW CC
- Jeep Liberty
- Dodge Challenger
- Chevy Camaro (didn't notice which trim, but it had factory reverse sensors, something I hadn't noticed before)

EA had the standard mixture of Malibus, Impalas, and a Crown Victoria.

I took a 300 since I needed the luggage space.

Side note: Lesson learned from my last rental of a Volvo S60 -- if I had read the ride review, I would have learned that National orders it with a full size spare in the trunk. I almost had to stack suitcases on my back seat passengers' laps.

the wife and i were in Honolulu for 6 weeks (Aug 7-Sept 17) and switched out our cars a few times:
Aug 7: reserved Luxury, but all they had clean was a crown vic, ended up with a camaro
Aug 13: swapped out for a low mile MKS. they also had a CC, an Enclave, and the normal smattering of mid sized cars.
Aug 21: swapped out for a 4dr wrangler with 180 miles, because the mks was having transmission problems. They only had a few midsize and compact, but no luxury or anything good...

I was hopin for a challenger the whole time, but no dice

We had a couple of good cars today, but they are already gone....

Oct 2 around 5pm all that was available on either of the aisles were Elantras, 1 Impala, and some Jettas. Having tired of the Impala years ago, I took the Jetta, but it was one of the worst cars I have ever driven. In this base model, the road noise was horrible, pickup was non-existent and the interior finish was pitiful. In many ways it reminded us of Hyundais from 10+ years ago. Never again.

Picked up a 1-day rental with Premium reservation. Must be they are getting ready for the APEC rush as they had a lot of cars (mostly mid-size) double-parked in the lot.

ES was rather average:
- Ford Taurus Limited
- Ford Taurus SEL
- 2010 300 Touring

I was also offered a 2012 Volvo S60 (which the booth agent called a "Buick" and then corrected himself -- "I mean Nissan" ) parked to the left of the booth, but declined due its lack of trunk space. I took the Taurus Limited.

The rest of the lot was filled with 2011 Jettas and Fusions, with the occasional Impala.
