I've opened Chase biz acct online w/o a problem.

I opened the account in a branch, they put in my OP number but the paperwork that they gave me says nothing about the bonus miles. My Chase online accounts shows CO debit card with my CO OP number.

Is this normal?

You should have received 2 receipts confirming the promotion in the welcome packet your banker gave you.

Nah, nada...

Just a letter "Thank you for opening a new checking account with Chase..." and another one "ACCOUNT SUMMARY FOR..."

Neither one mentions any promotion.

Well, maybe next time... It still doesn't mean you won't get the miles. It might be that your banker forgot to print those receipts. You brought the printed coupon, right? Did your banker used this coupon when you were there?

I believe she did. She did ask me for my OP number that she entered into some separate area.

Call her and clarify the issue! Did you refresh the page before printing? Also, If you already opened this year an account and got a bonus you will not get the miles.

Data point:

About a month ago I received an offer in the mail for $125 cash if I opened a Chase checking account. Today I took that offer along with the 25K CO offer to my local Chase bank. I told my new Personal Banker that I'd like to open a personal checking acct. and wondered if I could piggy-back the two offers. She said: I think so. Let's try. She then set about opening my acct. and was able to add both promotions. Hopefully I'll be a happy boy in about 60 days. Thanks for all those who posted their experiences & helpful hints.

I'm not sure why I received the printed offer for the $125 bonus but I also got one last summer from Chase/WaMu.

Got one for $150, but with busines checking account. Be sure to let us know how it plays out!

Now if only we can combine cash, miles, and Mileathon! Then i'd also be a happy boy. :D

Has anyone tried to open more than one personal account/business account?
Does this work?

thepointsguy Feb 18, 2010 4:02 pm

As an update- my biz banker had it wrong. I was eligible for either $100 and 15,000 CO miles or 25,000 CO miles (which I obviously took the latter).

The answer is in the previous 596 posts, somewhere. :) You are allowed one of each ONCE a year, according to those who have done it.

Cheers.

Do you have to get a direct deposit to get all the miles from the chase debit card.

The fine print says either set up direct deposit, or make five purchases w/i 60 days to earn the 10K miles.

--------------

My question: can multiple checking accounts be linked to the same OP number, or does each account have to be linked to a separate OP number?

The line is "Limit one personal checking account-related reward per customer, per calendar year" and I don't know if customer means Chase account holder or OnePass holder. Thanks!
