I wanted to let you all know that I opened my business checking account last week, on 1/5/2010 with the initial $500 deposit.

The 10k miles for meeting this requirement posted to my OnePass account today!

Now just have to resolve the issue with the online account that I opened last week!

It appears that the first business checking 10k posts relatively quickly compared to the 10k/15k for the personal checking. Give it about a month or so until the first statement period closes and then you'll more than likely show the bonuses for the personal checking account post to your OnePass.

Phew, it's good to hear that it takes a while for the personal account bonus to hit. It's been close to a month since I completed the required 5 signature transactions and I haven't seen any miles hit my account...

it usually takes 4-5 weeks for personal accounts to post, that been consistent with all 3 accounts i have open, but then i do both 5 transaction and dd just to be sure.

Funny, I just checked my account again and I have a credit for 22,500 miles - 10K for the signup bonus and 12.5K for Continental debit card bonus. I don't know what happened to the remaining 2.5K? Is that for adding another authorized member?

from the terms and conditions on the 25K offer:

Limit one personal checking account-related reward per customer, per calendar year

Looks like you can only get one or the other, but of course YMMV

No points in personal checking yet

Yes, I opened the personal checking account but no points have hit the account yet. As others have noted the Ts&Cs state Also, to qualify for the first 10,000 bonus miles you must make 5 debit card purchases with any Chase debit card linked or used to access the new account or initiate a repeating direct deposit such as payroll, Social Security or other government benefits. The 5 debit card purchases or first direct deposit must be completed within 60 days of account opening to earn the bonus miles. Initial 10,000 bonus miles will be deposited in your OnePassŪ account 6-10 weeks after the 5 debit card purchases or initial direct deposit has posted to the new account.

I am going the 5 debit purchase route to acquire the points.

I hope this helps.

Still not 100% resolved

Thanks Zink. Hopefully someone else can let you know if there was a hard pull. I'd like to save any free score inquiries for a good strategic moment when I really need it. But if I and when I do use a trial, I will let you know what I see.

Things still aren't fully resolved. I see online at my Chase account that my OnePass number has magically appeared. But despite the customer service rep's promise last week, I did not receive a call back from research. They dropped the ball on that one. So I am left wondering whether the promotion code was applied.

Just went through an unfortunate run-around on the phone this morning. Couldn't get a customer service rep on the horn about my debt card (finally arrived in the mail) because it needed a PIN; a PIN I do not have and wasn't provided with in the mail. I called the same number but used my Chase BA account number to get through to someone. Predictably, they passed the buck and transferred me to Continental (mile Redemptions number!)--who told me it was a Chase issue... but to call 713-952-1630 on Monday--evidently this is the number I should have been put through to.

Such a complex, pain in the butt for a simple question, e.g. did the promotion code "stick."?

Whose responsibility, in fact, is it for confirmation? I say Chase--unless Continental somehow controls the account application process (unlikely...). I have a feeling Continental is going to tell me to call Chase... endless loop. If the promotion did not go through, I want to cancel. But of course I have no way of knowing right now whether it did or did not. Ugh. The things we do for miles. :-)

I am sorry to hear about your problem. Consistent with other posts, I would recommend you to send a secure message after you log into your online banking. It looks like the back-office people responding messages do a better job than those on the phone.

When I opened mine last year, my banker did not give me the CO miles confirmation initially. I figured it out after I got back to the office, so I gave her a call, and she said she kept them to follow-up and make sure I get my miles, but would love to mail me a copy of those confirmations, too. All miles promptly posted within 3 months of fulfilling the requirements. So looks like I got a good banker (ex-WaMu branch, and she is the branch manager there).

same here - I read through the T&C again, and all it has are 2 chunks of miles 10K & 15K. I am not sure where the 12.5K comes from. Based on posts in this thread, it looks like the remaining 2.5K will hit in a month or two...
