Correction. The address above is an office building, not a retail Chase Bank branch.
"We regret to inform you that there are no branch located in the state of North Carolina. However on the neighboring states like West Virginia, Kentucky and Georgia there are Chase Branch locations." I'll be interested to see if the miles post for learningtime from opening a personal account online and also if anyone reports similar success from opening a business account online. |
Do we know what exactly "non-pin debit card purchase" is? Does that mean we need to use the debit card as "credit", say use "pay outside credit" in a gas station? Thanks a lot.

Any kind of purchase where you don't enter your pin should qualify. You would want it to be run as credit so you don't have to put your pin in.

I'm in the same boat as you - live in Raleigh with no brick & mortar Chase branches. I received the following email response from Chase...

Hmmm, WV, KY, and GA; thinking Atlanta on the last one. All long drives from Raleigh. Too long. Would love to open one online. |
Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)
No branches in my state either (nor any in Northern New England states). But unless you're an armchair traveler, just open one up while visiting someplace with branches. (For me, NY or FL, two popular travel destinations.) Good luck. |

There is no citation except for writing on the bottom of one of the two confirmation sheets the bank gives you. On the bottom of the confirmation sheet for the 10k mile it reads "The checking account must remain open for a minimum of six months or the 10,000 miles will be debited from the account at closing". The language is pretty clear.

For those of you that have oepened up the business checking, did they ask for a business name? I don't have a business name for my eBay activities...can I use my name as my business name? Thanks!

I opened the account online, so I didn't see anything like this on my coupon receipt. But if I close the account will that affect the 15000 part of this offer?
thanks And dont close you account till everything post and then wait till near the end of the promo to close the account, (assuming you just want to open another account) and open a new one if needed. This promo has been extended for the past 3 years, so the 6 month rule might not be a factor. I cant remember but i think i have closed an account within 6 months of opening it and nothing happen. |

Were you able to input your coupon code online? and if you did, have you received any miles yet? and if you did, how long ago did you open the account online.

I was able to open up my Business Checking account today!
I was asked by the bank employee for an EIN. I had that ready to go and within about 45 minutes I was out the door with my two receipts for the 10k and 15k deposit of miles. I found a reason as to why some of you may have only received one sheet of paper for the 10k receipt. It appears that when the banker processes the coupon, two PDF type of files open. The banker hit print but he only hit print for the 10k receipt. I brought it to his attention that there should be two, he checked his other open windows on his PC and there it was. I was able to then get both pieces of paper! Best wishes to you all! |
Opened my biz account last week, under my name with ebay as my business.
Acct manager made me aware that the $500 must be in new money. I was just gonna xfer from my personal acct, but he said they do audit and it would definitely get noticed. He recommended that pulling from an ATM and redepositing a hundred or two at a time spread out over a few days should defeat this requirement. |
Frugaltravelguy says that someone is having trouble getting onepass miles, since his last account bonus was less than 12 months ago (even if in a different calendar year).
Anyone having this experience? bd |
