Thanks Tom92591. I just wrote to OnePass, we'll see what they say.
In the meantime, I've realised that Gold level on OnePass is always Elite and never Elite Plus, regardless of whether one lives in the US or elsewhere (unlike Flying Blue, where Gold is Elite Plus for those resident in Europe).
Should I accept a status match to One Pass Gold (Elite) if that's what they offer me? I've seen that would not give me lounge access, which I'm not too happy about. But other than that, what are the major differences between OnePass Gold and One Pass Plat? I guess a major issue for me would be complimentary upgrades for example... Would would my chances be, as a Gold member?

Me too, no thanks DL
Several months ago I attempted a status match from United 1K to Delta Platinum/Diamond. I had read here to expect only Gold match, which was correct. My United activiity has been 140K++ for 4 consecutive years, all BIS domestic U.S.
With new rules pending for United upgrades, Gold was not enough for me to give Delta my business.

You should be very happy with CO Gold, because that is the HIGHEST elite tier of *A carriers.

Virgin Atlantic was giving away free silver status, so i got it cause it was free. They even sent me a welcome packet with the card. I fly united mostly but dont have status yet, do you think I could use my free virgin silver status to get united to match it with premier?

or you could use the VA silver to request Silver at DL, and then match the DL silver to get CO or UA's silver status.

I will probably try to get status on all of them, just in case i fly them, but my question is will they check to make sure I actually flied to get the status or do they just assume that since you have the card that you actually flew?

Sometimes they ask for just your card sometimes they ask for your card + recent statements. Just be careful though, most airlines will only status match you once. You don't want to use all your status matches in one year.

Is it normal for United Airlines to not even send an acknowledgement of receipt of a request for a status match (from a delta Platinum) and challenge almost 2 weeks after submission of the request?
sent it to their premiermatch email as instructed. Not at all impressed by the way they've handled this so far.

When I was comped from AA last year, UA told me it would take a full 7 days (and it did). I found out about it by logging into my Mileage Plus account and seeing the new status (had "general member" status prior), and their e-mail confirming it showed up later in the day. I suspect with employees having time off during the holidays they're probably just running behind.

European matching
Hello all,
good news is: you can get status match now with Czech Airlines, I use them very often and have Pl level. I am quite picky but I like them a lot. Free upgrades and guaranteed upgrades, no fees for date change, extra 30Kg, etc. Go to csa.cz and choose English. Aeroflot also started from time to time to provide status matching aeroflot.ru. BTW, SU has a very good safety record and flies brand new A-3xx's.

Just logged into my Delta account and saw that I was matched from CO Plat to Platinum Medallion! I asked for the plat match, but based on what I had read in this thread I was only expecting Gold. It took almost a month to get the match, but very nice to see!

mdmdt - Did you email in your request for status match? I thought it had to be faxed and your post gave me the impression that you emailed it. I'm wondering because I've been meaning to make my request, but am too lazy to print statements and use our office fax machine

American Match?
Has anyone ever successfully gotten AA to match without a challenge, or at least to make the elite status start at the beginning of the challenge? I am Platinum on Delta, and have been for 8 years in a row. Moving to Chicago, so Delta will no longer make sense. Thanks!
