There have been multiple posts over on the United board of people getting matches to both 2P and 1P (lower and middle tiers).

So I guess I'm comped DL/NW Plat??? to match my CO Plat although there has is still no notification of for how long nor does it show anywhere other than when I entered it into a reservation??? I suppose I am waiting for a letter or something. Well good... I think.
Don't trust what nwa.com says. The system doesn't overwrite the frequent flyer number that was first in the reservation but adds new ones to it (so the elite is still from the first ff programme put in. You can see the tale of frequent flyer numbers if you look at the reservation on checkmytrip or mytripandmore or so... Miles will also post to the first programme put in, even though bording pass tells you something else - unless manually removed at the gate!!!

Yea, after I posted I figured that out. I put in my AM and KE numbers and they both also came back Platinum/SkyTeam Elite Plus which I know is not right so obviously it just remembers my CO number.

I guess NW did just forget about me. Probably my fax sits in an in-basket on an emptied out desk in some empty office somewhere. I'll resubmit to Delta.

Is that normal problem for most airlines? For example, if my ticket is upgraded using my partner's FFP account, his/her FFP will show up as the first programme put in on checkmytrip etc. However, if I would like to earn miles (for the economy fare purchased) into another airlines automatically, what can I do? Should I ask the original airline to delete his/her FFP from my booking?

Within One World Alliance, which carriers are the most likely to accept status matches from Star Alliance FF programs?

FTL will become nothing in BA, in fact best you can hope for is ruby status on some other OW airlines.

Frequent Flyers with SkyTeam Elite or Star Alliance Silver status can apply for oneworld Ruby Status.

Frequent Flyers with SkyTeam Elite Plus or Star alliance Gold can apply for oneworld Sapphire Status.

There is a pdf file listing all match options here:
http://www.oneworld.com/privilegi/co...n_chart_EN.pdf

I hope that helps.

That is tough crowd...

I've just received a reply from CX about status matching and they require the following:

1. Copies of your current membership cards in *Said* frequent flyer programme
2. Your activity statements of the past 12 months in *Said* frequent flyer programme
3. Up to 12 months travelling schedule with booking reference / confirmed flight details on Cathay Pacific Airways or Dragonair

I can provide both 1 & 2, but for 3... Its a bit difficult since for the next 8 months, I have to fly with Star Alliance a lot...

It seems that status match is now possible also with airBerlin. Got their gold.

I had previously also booked few of their flights, now tried to do free seatselection, but I was without a warning charged extra 10€. I hope to get it waived as it should be free for gold...

Just received an email from NW granting Skymile Gold Medallion, logged in and found the elite status updated. This status is good through 2/2011. I faxed my status match request with documentations three weeks ago to NW. I don't know whether this "one-time" request would be stored in the new DL's system or not.

There's one interesting statement in the email "We do not offer complimentary SkyMiles Platinum Medallion upgrades based on top tier levels with other carriers."
I'm wondering whether to send in additional request for Platinum Medallion after I get 1K next month.

I'm NW-now-Delta Silver and Mrs Huge is CO silver. I'll keep my status for next year but Mrs Huge won't. Clearly our best move will be for her to get status matched to Delta silver for 2010 ... will Delta care that she hasn't flown all that much in 2009? We will be booking a flight on Delta for December - will it help her to get status match if we submit the match request after we book the flight, so she can say "look - I really am going to be flying on Delta from now on?" or does that just look like she's trying to get matched so she can get upgraded on one flight?

And should she set up her new Delta Skymiles account before requesting the match? And if so, is there any way to get some bonus miles just for setting up a new account?

Actually good for only a few months?

I was just given a Medall status match in mid-October and, according to the SkyMiles agent I just spoke with, this status is good only until Feb 2010. If i shift my business to DL (I've already flown 200,000+ miles on UA this year), it's still unlikely that I'll be able to fly DL 50,000 miles before the end of this year. As a result, I won't then requalify for DL Medallion status in 2010, in which case I'm better off not switching over to DL. Anyone know if, in fact, the status will actually be to 2011?

Have a UA related question.

They matched my Continental Silver 2 trips ago. I am coming on hitting my 10,000 BIS miles. Since I am already "technically" 2P, will those 10,000 BIS miles get me 4 e500's? I think mine is a unique situation. Usually if you "earn" 2P, you don't get those 4 e500's until you've flown 35,000 BIS miles total (10,000 more than the qualifying number for 2P).
