Last night I submitted my status match to Delta from my UA 1K membership. I decided to be fancy and highlight the relevant fields on the screenshot but then my boyfriend pointed out (after I sent it of course) that that may have made it look like the numbers were photoshopped in. Now I am scared that not only am I not going to get my status match but that they might suspend my account or something. What should I do? Just wait and see? I sent a second email mentioning that I had highlighted it but who knows what they'll think... Maybe I am overreacting?

US Airways Status match of AA Plat?
Hi -- I am considering flying US Airways a lot more next year and wanted to see if they would status match AA Plat which I currently have. Does anyone have any feedback on this? Thanks

US Airways generally doesn't status match. I haven't seen ANY reports of successful matches. Instead, they push their "Try Preferred" challenge.
It's a fairly decent challenge as far as challenges go, but it'll set you back $215. If you'll be flying much, it's easy to justify. After you sign up, you'll have Silver (at least) for 90 days and if you fly 7.5k/15k/22.5k/30k during the 90 days, you'll get Silver/Gold/Plat/CP for at least a year. (If you're familiar with AA's challenge, the main differences are that you get status from the start, you don't have to worry about points vs. miles, and you can challenge all the way up to the highest level.)

Know what I retroactively loved about the US status match?
I got in when they advertised it for free... I wasn't flying for work at the time.. I flew one trip on them for liesure, remembered how much I didn't like them. Status matched to UA on challenge, got it. Flew 56,000 EQM this year and now 1P. It empowered me to fly! (as did a new job with travel)

Soft Landings
Tried to search for this but no luck. I am currently AA Platinum, OnePass Gold and Delta Gold Medallion. Looks like all I will get this year, based on travel (damn economy!!), is Delta Silver Medallion. Based on experiences out there..will I get a soft landing to lower levels with AA or CO? As always, your comments are welcome!

I believe with CO, you are SOL. AA, you should drop back to Gold.

I was CP for 2 years, silver this year and took the race to preferred status to get my CP back. My goal, is to do a lateral to Continental. UScare has no entertainment, plastic in first, no snack in coach, sounds like Southwest to me

UA Status Match
I am looking to have UA match my Delta Silver Status. Has anyone been able to do this or do they only issue challenges as I read at the top of this thread?

Continental Matches Status to one level below
Hi
I have been Platinum with KLM - Air France for a few years.
As I have started to get fed up with them (almost never ever upgrades, ...... planes, not always good service), I've decided to go on with Star Alliance.
I called Lufthanse and asked if they'd match status but they weren't interested.
However Continental said I needed to send (email) my OnePass card number and a copy of my current frequent flyer card (and name/address details).
One day later I already received Gold Status - so even though I am Platinum sky team, I can live with Gold Star Alliance and am very thankful to Continental! I can't wait to fly only Star Alliance - Great planes, good service, great lounges, etc. etc.

Hey all,
I'm looking for any expert advice on what I might be missing out on in terms of a status match. In 2009, I earned Star Alliance Silver with British Midland and Delta Silver Medallion - would any of you suggest a match from any of these to any other airline? Are there any possibilities within OneWorld?

I just got email from DL/NW a few days ago that they don't grant Platinum Medallion to UA 1K. So Gold Medallion is the highest status they offered. Well, without international lounge access, it's not that attractive to me.
