I sent them an email on 3/14/11 and got the response on 3/22/11 asking for copy of my card or my yearly statement (I sent them the current statement), I replied with the annual statement and got the approval within an hour that I've been upgraded to Platinum ^

I'm not the world's biggest account, but I do generate well over 100K miles annually to parts of the world that are just getting additional attention (used to be that Delta/Aeroflot were the only carriers to Moscow from the USA, but now UA, AA, Singapore and Transaero carry as well).

I was looking forward to having an option other than SkyTeam.
Received my DL Gold credentials today and just got off the phone with the AAdvantage folks. I was told the status matching ended two days ago.

Hello,

I fly 6-8 international leisure trips per year, booked almost exclusively with frequent flyer miles.

I've just used the 50K MR transfer to acquire Delta Silver status, and I'm in the process of using that to acquire AA Gold (my email to customer service was sent on March 19th -- a few days before the reports that AA no longer status matches -- and they responded yesterday by asking for a copy of my card.)

I have two remaining *A trips this year: one in May/June and one in December. I'm hoping I can use my Delta Silver to get a status match with any *A carrier that will allow me to get an extra free bag on these two trips.

I've read the last 20 pages of this thread, but I can't seem to figure out if any *A carrier (US or otherwise) will provide a status match that lasts until the end of the year.

Thanks!

My apologies if this has been asked before. For DL's status match program, if i request my match after July 1st, will it go through 2013? Thank you!

I believe this is true for most if not all programs, but I am positive it is not a written rule anywhere. I would personally wait unless you are sure you can requalify for whatever status you are matching to.

Just wondering, how easy is it to get UA to match Cathay's MPC Gold? Have been their Gold status for the past 4 years now, any tips?

Thanks

A little help

Never got my status match confirm back from AA & called to follow up today. They said it's noted but they didn't receive my email with verification and that I need to respond back to their original email - which I can't find anywhere (I'm hoping I'll be able to pull it off of a work computer next week but not sure).

Can one of you kind FTers PLEASE PM me with a copy of the AA email requesting the account verification for status match? It would be a huge help and it would let me get this thing squared away before my AA flights start next week....

THANKS!!!!

Quick update..

the match went thru! However, the conditional requirement is that.. for the next 90 days, one must fly 17500 paid UA miles to maintain the status.

Not bad I say.

Malev Status Match (Oneworld)

I think this is still valid:

http://www.malev.com/offers/fly-at-a-higher-level

Status match after flying one Malev flight and submitting the claim within 3 months. Valid up to Oneworld Sapphire.

Bump...

Other than my Malev post above are there any other Oneworld Status Matches from either Flying Blue or M&M for UK based customers?

American Airlines (Challenge) and LAN (you need a lot of movement on the account statements, if not, they wont match)
