They are less likely to match M&M as they do not see a lot of competition from *A on most of their destinations.

S7 will happily match your FB card or any other *S plastic, provided you fly to Russia or Eastern Europe often (they'll request the latest copy of your account statement as a proof).

I am planning on doing a status match with my United Premier Executive to Delta, but when is the best time to status match? I have heard that after July 1st, it'll last until 2013. Any truth to that?

I took advantage of Air France offer and got matched my EXP status to FB Platinum. Not sure it is much use to me but think it's valid until Feb 2013. Where it may be useful is getting another match. How can I get *A gold from this? BMI maybe?? LH? LX?

If you want *A Gold status, all you have to do is get CO to match your EXP status. Simple fax/email copy of your EXP card along with recent travel monthly travel summary to CO will do. I was matched to CO Platinum, with gave me *A Gold. along with that, once you are CO PLT, you can also become UA Premier Executive.

So, in other words. I should wait to at least July 1 to get my status matched on Delta then.

It wont hurt to try it again.
Eventually CO employees will become UA. Rules will be different, I bet they are more flexible now. If you really want to seal the deal, do a cheap CO flight latter on after you request the match, maybe seeing that you are actually flying with them might help. Or book a full fare ticket for a future date, which you can cancel and get all money back.

CO stopped matching a couple of months ago. Now you get a challenge. Read back through the thread for more details.
