I heard they're UPGRADING the deli meats within the next two months at my deli. They said I'd be the first to know what this means, but no word as of yet, though they promised to let me in on the UPGRADES to the meat selection about TWO MONTHS AGO.

I checked around, however, and I have a feeling that, because of the hoof-in-mouth and mad-cow scares, they'll actually be CUTTING our meat selection to fish and poultry only, while ADDING swiss cheese to the menu. They're going to RAISE the price of the sandwhiches aby $2.00 each, to cover the cost of the IMPROVED cheese selection, and meanwhile, my beloved roast beef is no longer going to be offered. I'm definitely going to switch delis if they try to pull this, and call it an UPGRADE in selection.

I have a feeling Bean's original post has something to do with this.

But the most important question is: Will the sandwiches be served on table linens and will there be a menu?

Opus,
I hope you remembered to book the flight before you hypnotized yourself. It would be a shame to miss a really hot deal like that. Of course, there is the possibility you'll get to the airport and not remember why you're there. If that happens, just grab a sandwich and go home. At least you'll earn some FE (frequent eater) points.

Well, are you going to tell us or not. It is almost lunch time and I have a decision to make.

I've called HH and enrolled in code BURP and after eating 4 sandwiches I get 50K plus they upgraded me to grey poupon.

I don't know... yesterday I was in line for lunch, but when I got to the counter they said my pre-ordered sandwich was oversold and the bumped me down to a diet soda and some vinegar chips. Usually they are very apologetic and give me a coupon for a free triple-BLT-upgrade but yesterday they didn't even hand me a napkin! Can anyone advise?

I was in the lunch line yesterday and was looking to redeem an award for the triple-decker sandwich with my choice of two sides. Imagine my surprise when I was told that the redemption level had increased! No notification from the Sandwich Club. I've been going to this place for years and getting my membership card hole punched with that cute little star shape hole puncher. I'd been dreaming about that triple-decker for months. Now it looks like I'll be eating PB&J for another few weeks until I make it to the new redemption level. I don't know if it's worth it. My advice to all you FT'ers out there is don't wait to redeem for that free sandwich. Do it today! )

Thanks,

First, you must prove that you are trustworthy. How are we to know that you are not a lurker from the deli?

Please include me in your list. I'm new and would really appreciate on getting some pointers on how I can get some good meat. I swear I'm not from the Deli Revenue Protection Unit but even if I was, there would be no way for you to know.

P.S. I swear I'm a nice guy and will only eat meat and toss my veggies into the dog bowl.

I'm a vegan and would like to be on the list. Is this a problem? Also my wife would like to join, but she doesn't eat sandwiches either. Can we combine our points?

I don't know what the problem is. I just went up to the counter, showed them my Executive Platnum Pastrami SAAndwich card and they upgraded me to double meat and a fee bag of chips. Must have been my smile.

Hee Hee, mebbie I should put this on Coupon Connection, but was in a Sam's Club two weeks ago and purchased three 19 oz. containers of Curry Powder for 1 cent each.

I work for the vendor, the item was cancelled, and I wanted to get them off the shelf. I wasn't prepared for the price. Neither was the cashier. He just let them go. Anybody want some curry powder? Great for sandwiches...
