Bean, come on!!! Don't you see? It doesn't matter if you post what you have for lunch each day or not. By the time you post, the McDonalds, Burger King, Safeway, China King, Kraft, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell Corporate Lurkers will have surely shut down whatever lunch special you have identified!

But, if the spirit moves you, please e-mail me what you are about to have for lunch so I can take advantage of these gastronomic loopholes before they close!

If, however, you decide that your lunch is so sacrosanct and you can't reveal your meal plan, I don't care because I'll just use the search and find out anyway.

Bean,

Thanks for the tips about sandwhiches and your lunch. Did you know that at some places, when you buy ten chicken sandwhiches you get upgraded to a prawn sandwhich?

As a follow-up to Beckles' post, could you explain the criteria for being list-worthy? I'm concerned that having never attended a FlyerTalk get-together that I may be at a disadvantage in qualifying to receive the list of your gastronomic episodes.

I would appreciate any advice you may have: at my deli, I only ate half of my $3.00 sandwich and the owner charged me an extra $7.99 when I threw the unused half away.

I have a very similar story I tell when people defend some of the rules (such as hidden city).

Well Beanie, I know I e-mailed you earlier pleading for inside information on your lunch secrets, but after noticing that my navel is rising I fear my conscience dictates that I request being removed from The New List. Have fun without me.

I'll let you guys in on a secret, but you must promise not to tell anyone. All of these problems -- the high costs, the limited supply, the restrictions on where and when you can eat -- can easily be avoided with one simple trick:

Eat Mexican food.

The secret is that there is no secret. Bean's so-called "inside tip" on lunch is simply a reference to the baht pass run:

"Another baht of beer with your lunch?"
"I'm so stuffed I couldn't eat another baht."
"All these extra calories go straight to my baht."

I think that Bean has received what he wanted. Lots of attention. Shame on all of us for so willingly feeding his ego. I propose that none of us reply any further to this assinine topic.

Yes, for the love of FlyerTalk and all that is good, please let this thread die! Continuing to post here will just draw more attention to this thread.
