Bean, is it too late for trustworthy FTers to get on your New List? I believe that I made it. If so, I am willing to sponsor anybody who did not meet the original deadline. The only criteria is that the person have at least one post here on FlyerTalk and swear (on their mother's grave, cross their heart and hope to die, no crossed fingers) that they are not a restaurant lurker. And believe you me, don't anyone try to pull a fast one on me. I can sniff out a lurker rom a mile away.

OK, so you've made your decision and everything. But you haven't notified me yet as to whether or not I, humble FTer and lunch coveter, have been deemed personally fit to be included on the New List.

Are you sending out formal invitations? Having a gala inauguration luncheon sponsored by Starkist? Maybe a free sandwich to each new member in their New List Welcome Kit?

Please advise.

I'm shamelessly bumping this thread to the top for the sole reason that I can't stand seeing the "other" list with newer postings than this one.

ROTFLMAO at all of you!

Glad to see everyone loosening up a bit!

OK.. against my attorney's advice, I have decided to post my lunches on the board.

I know what some of you are thinking.. "But Bean, how can you afford to do that? Don't you know that the lurker spies on this board will take this info. and use it against you?"

To circumvent this problem, I have decided to post a single lunch for each week. In doing so, I will have reduced my "exposure" by not revealing the specific day of the week. Granted, one has a 1 in 7 chance of finding me out, but that is the chance I am willing to take. I am that dedicated to providing this valuable info to my fellow FL'ers (Frequent Lunchers).

Last week's lunch:

Grilled chicken sandwich
French Fries
Cole Slaw
Iced Tea

BTW: I was on the waitlist for an upgrade from iced tea to a cabernet, but I didn't clear. Oh well, can't win 'em all!

Oh great. So Bean gets his ego gratification from posting his lunch. But what about the rest of us. Rest assured that there are lurkers on this board and Bean's lunch will no longer be available to the rest of us. Don't think for a second that this business about not posting the day is going to fool them. They have really big computers, you know.

I thought the whole point was to put together a list so that we could all share in this. Instead, Bean taunts us with the great lunch he enjoyed. Please have a little consideration and only distribute future lunch announcements to list members. Sorry for the rant but I just couldn't help myself.

The other list is closed? Who closed it and why? Do we need to worry that this list, the lunch list, will be closed to?

At least who ever closed it could have told us why it was closed! Not that i even read it, I just saw the locked symbal, read the last post, and then became concerned that should this list be closed I would not know what people are eating for lunch.

I've been so busy sampling all of the restaurants around the country, I haven't had time to get on the list of new restaurant offerings. Would someone be so kind as to assist me? Thanks!

This may be a little off topic from the original subject of "The List" but thought it was important.

I've seen it mentioned here before about the Silver/Gold/Plutonium Sandwich Club promotion. I for one think you should be eating the required number of sandwiches for the year (30 for silver, 60 for gold and 100 for plutonium) to obtain status. It's not fair that the deli is running a promotion that you only need to eat 10 sandwiches for silver and 16 sandwiches for gold during the summer months. I think this is diluting the value of sandwich club status. I'm going to call the gold sandwich club hotline and complain about this.

Today I recieved a disgusting piece of mail and I can only assume it came as a result of the New List. It contained a piece of paper telling me that if I bought a Papa Johns pizza, I would get another one for $0.

I don't know about you folks, but the idea of a Papa Johns Pizza for $0 disgusts me.

1) It seems unethical and unseemly to expect to get a pizza for $0.

2) What kind of monsters would order a pizza expecting to get one for $0.

3) The topping are place under the cheese. UNDER THE CHEESE. How freaking unethical and disgusting is THAT?!?!!?!?
