You don't need a list to get a buy one get one free offer. Let me know when the printer leaves off the "buy one get one" phrase and it just says "free pizza".

Then I'll order 300. While you are at it just order 300 for everyone on the list.

Do you think they will punch my card 300 times as part of their frequent customer promotion? As a frequent customer do you think I will get the free soda that comes with a pizza order? If not, who do I write, William are you there?

But koko, it's ok because they will charge you $5 for the 2litre bottle of soda you will need to drink to get the pizza down...

Koko,

I can't believe you were unethical enough to reveal the contents of that private "list only" email, and then go and make a personal attack against the pizza. You are narcissistic and irrelevant.

BTW.....

There's something about Flyertalk that seems to create a need for snackfood.

As I spend more and more time on this board, participate more and more in the community, and learn a whole lot in the process, I GET HUNGRY.

We're doing a taping of Nobel laureate Milton Friedman this weekend, who is famous for saying "There Ain't No Such Thing as a Free Lunch."

I'd love to be able to prove my hero wrong.

Tastes like chicken??

Seriously, is there any way to find out what's for lunch these days?

i'm partial to the "More Beans Throughout Nachos" product being offered by Uncle American's Tasty Bean Warehouse... similar efforts being made by competitors (namely that miserable United Bean Consolidators) i find shamefully inferior

Today I recieved a disgusting piece of mail and I can only assume it came as a result of the New List. It contained a piece of paper telling me that if I bought a Papa Johns pizza, I would get another one for $0.

I don't know about you folks, but the idea of a Papa Johns Pizza for $0 disgusts me.

1) It seems unethical and unseemly to expect to get a pizza for $0.

2) What kind of monsters would order a pizza expecting to get one for $0.

I've got a friend of a friend of a relative of a friend who is on the super secret list. He said they just posted information on a cheap roundtrip from KFC to MCD and you'll get enough miles to get silver status if you route through BK. Jump on it before the Sandwich Protection Unit finds out!

Maybe it's just me but is anyone else frustrated by the Employee Lunch syndrome?

I guess I lucked out last week, as always I had ordered the cheapest lunch going (this one was a Snickers and a diet soda - can't specify the soad or the lurkers will get me) and was counting on my Super Titanium Extraordinaire status to get me an upgrade to Pizza. I was secretly hoping for a rush on the Pizza and I'd get the lucrative Operational Double upgrade to Steak, but Pizza would be fine.

So there am I waiting and waiting and waiting at the fringes of the counter hoping for the upgrade to clear, and once again the server started giving out Pizza and steak to the staff near the counter. I was starting to get frustrated... I've eaten hard for a long time for my Super Titanium Extraordinaire status and I deserved that Pizza more than some dupe bus boy for sure.

So I went to the server and I asked if my upgrade had cleared... she glared at me... punched some buttons on the computer and told me I'd have to wait she hadn't started on the Kitchen Management list yet.

More people getting lunch... more waiters getting steak, I think I'm going to loose my upgrade, the counter is packed full of people waiting for lunch.

Then they called my number... my meal was ready!!! I rushed into the eating area to take my seat and see what I had to find my requested Snickers and Diet Soda... Certainly no sign of Steak, not even any Pizza around.

I went straight to the nearest waiter... explained that with my Super Titanium Extraordinaire status I should have been upgraded to Pizza and asked why I was getting this treatment despite my Super Titanium Extraordinaire status. I pointed to a bunch of bus boys and valet parking attendants eating Steak and said why should they get this treatment if one of your best customers get Snickers?

Strangest thing happened then. The waiter checked the diner list, apologized profusely for the mistake by the server and literally took the steak from a bus boy and gave it to me. Bonus... I got the double upgrade!!!!

The bus boy started mumbling something as he started on his Snickers bar, but that wasn't my problem, I had steak and was surrouned by celebrities and a handful of off duty Chefs.

I've seen more and more comments here at FT about Employee Lunch Syndrome and we've certainly discussed it a lot here. But isn't it time we did something about it... there's a lot of us Super Titanium Extraordinaire status diners here, we should be able to convince them to fix this problem before they end up with even more cases of Lunch Rage!
