The most distressing thing that has happened to me was when I recently bought a double sandwich for lunch on Saturday, getting a special reduced price because I planned to eat the first half immediately and not eat the second half until lunch on Sunday.
Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen power blackout in California, my Saturday dinner date was cancelled and when I got home, being very hungry, I ate the second half of the sandwich that night because I was really hungry. Now the sandwich shop wants to charge me an outrageous fee for not keeping the second half of my sandwich in my refrigerator overnight and eating it on Sunday as I had originally planned. Man this is the pits.
I don't know why anyone is questioning the validity of this thread. This is serious stuff.
p.s. My beloved Rudi, I don't think you should be divulging deep, dark family secrets about luft-sandwiches or united-burger places in public places. What if they are watching?

I heard rumors that Deli-America is joining "The Gourmet Alliance" this summer. Better yet, It might be merged with McDonalds pending FDA approval. Either way great news for those of us with plenty of McPoints! A great place to redeem points!

Now, I know I will get ripped for this, but I need help. My quandry is this:
I know of a VERY DELICIOUS lunch. I have enjoyed it often, and know of other FT members who have also enjoyed it. In fact, I know of several members who plan on eating it several times a week.
I hesitate to post this delicious lunch, because, quite frankly, I have been burned in the past.
So, please, kiss my A$$, and beg, grovel, and plead with me to disclose this MOST DELICIOUS LUNCH and where to find it, and I will consider doing it. Please begin all replies with a sonnet praising me and my beloved Red Sox.
And, in addition, because I had an unhappy childhood, I also might post five or six other threads with my "Lunch of the Week", which will also be quite delicious, but not as delicious as the lunch I am now referring to.

Having read all the messages about your lunches, I lost my appetite! I know it would be best to not read anymore posts about these things, but I can't help myself even in the wee hours of the nite. Sometimes I grave something to eat, but have nothing to make a sandwich out of!
Am I losing it and/or can I find some other sights, that will help me concentrate more on miles then sandwiches. The sooner you reply with helpful websites, the better.

I was thinking of starting a new website... It's going to be called KevinB's Unofficial Frequent Sandwich Eaters' Helpdesk...
I was thinking it could be very helpful to new Sandwich eaters... There will be sections on what you get when you become an Elite Sandwich Eater, and a Super Elite Sandwich Eater...
I feel it would be very helpful to people who have just reached Elite level to know about some of the worthwhile things not listed in their Sandwich Eater Guides..
For instance, if you reach Elite level after eating only half your sandwich, you can call the help desk and ask them to re-enter your Frequent Eater number in their database, and you will be able to change your second half to a Sandwich Plus... Which has larger bread...
And if you hit Super Elite, you start receiving really great hidden perks...
As a Super Elite, you are allowed to change your Sandwich 72 hours before you're planning on eating it!
Elite members can only change theirs at 24 hours...
And Sandwich Eaters with no status can't change theirs at all...
Super Elites who are eating Sandwich Alliance sandwiches internationally can also use the Gold Meat Club Rooms.....
(On the day they are going to eat their sandwich *only*, and as long as they have their GMC Card with them...)
I will be putting more super helpful tips like these on my site... AND a link to Sandwich Connection 3.0 Software - which the Sandwich shops stopped supporting in 1983, and only runs on IBM PCjr computers, but is alot better than the internet version...
Watch for details on where to find my site...

So there are DIFFERENT Sandwiches for the various Elite or Award levels. Can someone clarify the many choices available for the SupremeElite Level of the various Sandwich clubs, IMMEDIATELY!
I am planning some Award Lunch runs in 2010 AD and want to be first on the waitlist.

I think I'll skip lunch. The order was non refundable anyway, and I'm sure you've all noticed the quality of sandwiches has gone down considerably over the last year or so. I think they are using even less fresh ingredients than before. I don't want to get a tummy ache.

I am the proud owner of two Smrgsbord-wide upgrade coupons, good for preferred seating, service, and unlimited refills throughout the entire buffet line.
Normally, these cannot be sold, so I am not selling them. I am, however, willing to accidentally drop them on the ground at a prearranged meeting place at the lunch location of your choice, if you would make a gift of appropriate lunch materials, such as five pounds of imported Italian prosciutto.
