I am AC *G and TK *G (via status match off course :)) at the moment. I had been reading in the last few pages about matching to Air Berlin for OneWorld status, but it seems that status will only last for a few months, is this correct?

Also from the last post by benberg2013 above me where mentioned about from Air Berlin matched to United Gold, does anyone have the info on how to get that status match request? As I thought United only do challenge and not match these days. My wife TK *G is going to be expire in July, hence, thought I can do what benberg2013 to get United *G for her.

another question, when is the latest I can still request the Air Berlin match for my wife account.

Not expect to fly any OW until Dec 2016 for my wife, but do have some *A flights in Dec 2015 and Summer 2016 that my wife could use the *G status. Hence, want to request the match at the right time to ensure it cover both trips.

MileagePlus members are allowed to earn Premier status through the Premier Status Match program a maximum of one time in a five year period. In order to re-qualify for Premier Gold status in subsequent years, you will need to meet the published criteria.

By the way, once you get a match from united, you can send turkish a copy of your united gold, and get a match a second time which would get you the *A status for another 2 years, as i saw someone that got a match twice from Turkish! (If Turkish won't give you a match twice, you could open a new account with Turkish with a different email address (and possibly new mailing adrress, and after the new account registration change back to your usual mailing address) .

You can then also send copy of your gulfair gold to Turkish but i am not sure if they will match - it could be they will only match OWE, *A Gold, and skyteam elite plus.

For those of you who got a status match from Gulfair, how long did it take until you got the physical card? I've been approved over 6 weeks ago but I'm still waiting for my card to arrive.

I received the card 2 weeks after receiving the confirmation email.
Maybe call up (+97317373737) and ask for a replacement card - even if the old one arrives, it will work, even though you ordered a new one.

Thanks for the info, I guess this will help get OW status for X'mas 2016 for my wife, here is what I am thinking:

match TK *G to Gulf Air in April this year (2015), which will last 2 years as you stated. Then I will match to Air Berlin Early Dec 2016, in time for X'mas 2016 and potentially be able to use it again for X'mas 2017.

Not sure which thread my post belongs, I was EXP w AA via their triple eQM promo a couple years ago. i got in the mail offer to be PLT for 3mo, no strings attached. if i can do 12K EQM by then i get to be PLT through 2/16. The 12k doesn't even have to be on AA. They were also giving me 20 500mi upgrades. Too bad I have no reason to travel.

I got approved for KLM Gold match to United Gold challenge. I'm in SFO so trying to figure out the right program. After the first flight I kind of regret the move already away from Skyteam, but I guess i should see how it goes...

Hello folks.

I searched the thread, searched the net, found nothing.

I'm JL Sapphire (OW Sapphire) and looking for Star Alliance Gold status match, as I'll be using Star Alliance this year, owing to JL's too high fares. Skyteam could also be useful.

I already tried TK, but got the "Emerald-only" treatment, despite having 4 return longhaul trips booked with them this year, albeit in W class.

Are there any options that I may have overlooked?

I just need lounge access.
