I got the 60k offer, instantly approved.
My wife only gets the 40k offer.
She had activity in 2011 (from a United Visa, now expired). I didn't.
Tried the link in 321 (after logging out, clearing cache, and logging in again). Still only 40k offer for her. Even transferred a continental mile.
Maybe tomorrow the continental mile will trigger it. I'll try on another browser at home.

There is something else in the profile of whom they target that we haven't surfaced yet.

Primary or secondary rental car insurance
I tried to search in this thread and look at T&C associated with the actual application but cannot find any answer - the question is whether this card provides a primary (like the legacy OnePass card) or only a secondary rental car insurance? Can anyone who actually has the card clarify?

This is a great benefit of the card. For most Amex cards, for example, this level of insurance is $20 per rental through supplementary insurance. And of course, it's a much better deal than paying for the CDW/LDW waiver car rental companies offer.

Your MileagePlus Explorer Card provides you with Primary coverage for physical damage and theft of most rented vehicles. Coverage is afforded for rentals of up to 15 consecutive days when traveling in your country of residence and 31 days outside of our country of residence"
It does say "see your guide to benefits for more details" I may have thrown this away or can't find it.

Is the auto rental insurance the same whether you are issued the "signature" card or are issued the "platinum" card?

FYI - I did the Clear Cookie / Log Out/ Log In and got the 60K miles offer.
I just activated my card yesterday and spoke with the CSR - It's indeed the 60K offer - also got the email confirmation stating my name with the 60 K Offer.
I WAS NOT TARGETED
Many thanks to the FT member who provided the trick.. ^

Ah everyone is getting approved instantly except me. lol Also wish when I got my CO card last Jan I cared about miles. Got a really crappy bonus when I could have got a better 1. Oh well now I know since finding this website.
So I guess I should call since the auto line has no info. (or should I wait?) been 24 hours.

I disagree. It depends. In cases where everyone one is saying an expired link works and they are getting miles, then of course dont call and ask. In cases such as this card where people are getting mixed results, then it might be best to call. I called myself, explained I had a Chased United card earlier and that the terms are unclear. The terms say the offer is good for first time Explorer members, but the very next sentence states that previous Chase United card members are not eligible. While holding 3 Chase cards already, I did not want to waste an application, so I called. The rep told me I am definitely eligible, since they are even giving that card and the bonus to members who currently hold a different Chase United card.
Redelmo, this is not the Sapphire card, it's the United Explorer card.

So are you saying you I CAN get the 50K bonus miles? I currently hold a Chase Freedom card a different Chase United card...
What is the difference with the "Explorer" card? I really would like to apply for it IF and only IF i can get the 50K points.

So can someone confirm if it's the lower credit card does the 60/50K bonus still apply?
