I still can't seem to get the 60K well 50K offer. Still shows 40K when I am logged in. It would be nice to get 50K after first purchase if I can while keeping my CO card.

Any suggestions on easy ways to earn a few UA miles? I don't have any CO miles or UR points, and SPG minimum is 2500 pts at 2:1

Cheers

Don't count on the miles posting very quick though!

or http://mpdining.rewardsnetwork.com/ works good.

So I won't get that offer unless I have some miles in my account?

All I can tell you is that when I had zero miles in my UA account (a dormant account I have not used for like 5 years) I only got the 40K offer.

When I linked my CO account to the UA account, and transferred a token number of miles - so that my UA account now had all of 46 miles - I then got the 60K offer.

I conclude from this that the UA account needs some miles in it in order to get the 60K offer to work - YMMV naturally.

Try www.points.com - they used to give 100 miles when you signed up into your chosen FF program. No idea if this still works, but the miles did post very fast as far as I remember. And as suggested above, I think dining miles post in a short time. Good luck.

ADDED: Forgot to mention - I used Firefox browser rather than IE browser which may or may not have made a difference - but even with 0 miles, could be worth trying different browsers.

Well, it's too late (or maybe not?) now, but for reference, I recommend opening and using an e-rewards.com account. Once you earn a threshold reward amount, you can just leave it in your account (but don't let it expire) and, in a case such as yours, it's at the ready to convert to various company airline miles. It usually posts up fast, like 1-2 days! You have to complete on-line surveys to earn miles. I currently have $100 in e-rewards in my account which is equivilant to 2,000 airline miles.

Both me and wife got the email offer of 60k (50k at FIRST USE and 10k for spending $25k). Wife applied for it. Under review. She has Amtrak,Sapphire and Southwest cards open with Chase. So...do we wait for the decision first or do we expedite things by calling before we hear from them? As I am scrambling to achieve $5k spending in 3 months for my new AMEX Business Gold Reward...I find the automatic 50k after the first use is BEATIFUL! And my gut instict says this is it for the BIG offer by Chase and UA card. If I am wrong...I hope the bump up still can work for the miles I am leaving behind

I cannot seem to ever see the 60k offer in my account. I had transferred miles from United to Continental, logged in and out, tried the link on here and it still shows only the 40k. I did not receive any email about the offer. I do have miles in my account.

Any other suggestion to receive the 60k offer....

No instant approval - no doubt I have too many Chase cards at the moment and will need to do some negotiating. I would like to keep my existing Continental card as its about 7 years old, but if I have to, will allow Chase to close it down to get the United card.
Link did not work for me either. Had no activity for years and zero miles.

Transfered 100 miles into a/c and when I logged in the 60 K offer showed up with no more trickery necessary.

cleared cache and cookies each time FWIW
Thanks

I ALWAYS recommend calling. Why wait to receive something in the mail, when you can discuss the application on the phone? They'll either instantly approve you, decline you, or ask questions about certain things. All choices lead to a possible approval b/c if they decline over the phone you can discuss a reconsideration.

When I input my mileage number and password to log on, where do you see the United Explorer link for the 40k or 60k? I don't see it.

No, login to your account, then click on the link in post 321. That will pull up your 60K mile offer.

Any word on whether a bump is possible for ppl that got the 30K offer a few months ago. Any experience with Chase a few months later? Does it help that my miles STILL haven't posted for a first spend in Nov?

You have to call the number and find out for yourself. You can also trying emailing Chase through the website. Since this offer (50K + 10K for spending) is so new, you might as well be one of the first to try. My guess: if you try and sound half-decent diplomatic about mentioning the new offer and wondering if you could get a miles match (similar to a price match), the CSRmight be able to pull it off. But, typically, the cut off is 90 days from your card activation.
