  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

Excellent fare for that route. Availability only on days when MH flies NRT-LAX (operates S, M, W, F). Booked in J, 125% EQMs on AA.
On MH's website, I'm not seeing this for much lower than 1,700 USD AI HKG-NRT-LAX and 1,880 USD HKG-KUL-NRT-LAX -- still not bad. MNL-KUL-NRT-LAX is available for 1,759 USD. So using an OTA is probably best in this case...!

Yes indeed - I found much better flight availability via OTAs than the MH site. Offered CX and JL, plus NH, UA and DL for a slightly higher price. I wasn't looking to maximize my miles so much on this trip, just needed a one-way home, so took the most rational flight option. Otherwise you can bet I would have been on the HKG-KUL-NRT-LAX long boat home

Also note that MH run an A380 on at least a few days per week on the HKG-KUL sector so if you plan it right you can book at least one segment on it.

What the hey?!?! Now I get an email from the same people and BKK is €1555! My gosh these airlines must be hurting. Oh well, good for us I guess. Book before 22 March 2013 and travel before 10 December 2013.

You can do PNH-HKG-KUL/SIN/CGK(etc.)-NRT-LAX-SAN all on oneworld or mixed alliances according to ITA.

Good summer deal from US to Asia on ANA...

First time posting in this forum (very new to all this actually!) but thought that this was a good deal -- hopefully I'm not mistaken. If I am, go easy on me!

On NH, JFK-NRT-PVG r/t $2878 ai booking into a P fare bucket (150% PQM on UA) in July (sample dates July 4th - 23rd, but wide availability).

Note that there's a $500 cancellation fee and a $400 change fee. Also 3 day minimum stay and 50 day advance purchase.

Well, it looks like it's come back from the "dead." I'm now seeing a few dates in June, DFW-MAD, for $1931.

Do they have a list of other destinations in Asia that qualify for the deal along with the fare rules?

It's the P-fare that has been mentioned before ... 10 day minimum stay, but it doesn't look like he listed the return.
