  • Fare feels too good to be true? Don't call the airline!!!!!!
  • Double check that the fare is actually in Business or First as some online search engines or OTA's confuse booking classes on some airlines.
  • Post as many details as possible about the First / Business fare, including fare class, fare basis, one-way / roundtrip, sales channel, sample dates & total price, including taxes.
  • Post the details within the thread itself and not in the post title field as any information typed here cannot be seen by members accessing the thread using mobile devices.
  • Refrain from posting fare requests or engaging in off topic debates such as fare trends, specific aircraft configuration or visa requirements
  • The deeply discounted international fares discussed here are almost always specific to a certain country of origin, so don't ask if it works in reverse (e.g. a SFO-LHR-SFO fare usually won't work LHR-SFO-LHR). Domestic fares more commonly work in reverse.
  • Last, but not least, Don't call the Airline!

THAI in Germany has excellent First and Business class fares to BKK and beyond:

http://www.thaiair.de/index.php?p=159

Unfortunately the A380 flights ex-FRA are excluded.

You have to call TG in Germany or a german based TA to do the booking.

Bookings for these promotional fares can't be done online.

I travelled last week on the ICN - LHR fare. The timings out of HKG didn't work. Only downside is the long layovers in KUL. The plus side is that the ICN-KUL sector earns 140tps on BA as opposed to 40tps on HKG-KUL. The MH A380 product is an improvement on MH's A330. Shame they didn't do anything more imaginative with their A380 interior though. I will definitely use MH again.

This is the non-refundable fare, I bought tickets for late Oct for the same price. Last year this time, fare was $600 RT in FC... Yes a meal is served on all but the red-eye.

LAX-CDG for ~$2400 ai on AA/BA

AA has some decent I fares from LAX-CDG for fall travel, 10-day minimum stay, 60-day advance purchase, $400 cancellation/change fee. Bookable on aa.com and can include BA flights LAX-LHR-CDG for roughly $7 more per leg. I did not see availability on ba.com, but I did notice that ba.com has nonrefundable First for ~$7400 ai if you find value in that. I used October 15-29 as sample dates.

A portion of the fare rules from aa.com:

Day Time Application OUTBOUND - PERMITTED TUE THROUGH SAT ON EACH TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR. INBOUND - PERMITTED SUN THROUGH THU ON EACH TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR.

Advance Reservation Ticketing Restrictions RESERVATIONS FOR ALL SECTORS ARE REQUIRED AT LEAST 60 DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE. WAITLIST AND STANDBY NOT PERMITTED. TICKETING MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 3 DAYS AFTER RESERVATIONS ARE MADE OR AT LEAST 60 DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE WHICHEVER IS EARLIER.

ex-CAI to BKK (other Asian destinations?)

Seeing some good return fares (perhaps due to devaluation of Egyptian Pound?) for just north of $1,000.

QR: CAI-DOH-BKK-DOH-CAI ($1,055)

EY: CAI-AUH-BKK-AUH-CAI ($1,221)

maybe not as good a deal, but ...

EK: CAI-DXB-KUL-DXB-CAI ($2,664)

DXB-KUL-DXB segments book into First (doesn't EK have the A380 on that route?)

Similar prices usually on WY to KUL or BKK too.

Also EY and QR have roughly these same prices in C from CAI to JNB...
