I called in to redeem a travel package. Miles have posted. They told me that I would get an e-cert and then just reserve hotel portion from the website. But the following is listed in my certificates section:
7 nights at a Category 1-5 hotel, up to 120,000 frequent flyer miles or Rapid Rewards Points and 25% off Hertz car rental When I book a hotel using points it does not give me the option to use an e-cert like it did with the cat. 1-4 certs. Also I have no idea how to use the hertz award.

Yes you can. I've combined points from my wife's and my account to get a TP award before with no problems.

asked and answered in the positive both in this thread and others, however you are aware that you are limited to only 1 MR account, which you state herein that you are violating............
https://www.marriott.com/rewards/terms/default.mi and, "In the case of fraud or abuse involving the Rewards Program, Point credit, Miles credit, Reward use, or a participating hotel, the Company and its travel partners have the right to take appropriate administrative and/or legal action, including but not limited to revocation/cancellation of any Reward and/or termination of Rewards Program Membership, and all Miles or Points and certificates (“Certificates”) earned through the Rewards Program may be forfeited and any relevant Membership Account(s) closed." I reviewed this thread before posting my question. I am glad to be corrected, if you point to me where, on this thread, the question of pooling points for travel packages had been answered. |
that's not what you originally stated which was:
""I have points in multiple accounts....."" which you now desire to change from "I" to family members........ and, I did state this and other threads on this subject, such as....... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/marri...ervations.html

You stated "asked and answered in the positive both in this thread and others"
So you used "both" and "and" there, even though your statement didn't apply to "this thread."

I concur. DW recently booked a travel package award and we transferred the points from my account to hers. In order to do this they wanted her to have a hotel points reservation. Don't ask me why since you should be able to redeem a travel package reward without having the hotel stay booked.
But the dummy reservation was separate. This was due to the fact that the additional points were a gift, so I had to make another reservation so that the amount of points I needed was the same as what the gift was supposed to be. |

You can only combine by transferring the points from one account to the next first. Marriott currently only permits this when transferring between spouses.
First, while the T&Cs state transfers only between spouses, Marriott will actually allow the transfers to occur between any two accounts. This has been done by FTers here (myself included) and has even been noted by Marriott Concierge as well. And while Marriott "could" stop that practice at any time, there has been no indications that they are thinking about it or planning on doing so. So we are probably fairly safe on this still being available for the near future. Second, while you are correct in that in a single award transaction, only two accounts can be combined, it is possible to get points combined from more than 2 accounts. Basically, one combines from account #1 and #2 for an award. Then you cancel that award. All points will go to account #1. Repeat with account #1 and #3. Repeat with account #1 and #4, and so on.... Of course you would have to find larger and larger awards to keep pulling points from each of the accounts, but it can be done. And make sure you use awards that can be cancelled (i.e. don't use a TP award as you can't return the airline miles once they have been deposited.) |
Having trouble finding 5 night package chart
I am a vacation club owner, and used the instructions provided in a previous travel package thread to find the chart for the five night travel packages. I apologize, if I missed a later thread, but I can't find the chart on the vacation club website. Trying to book a package before the May 15 change. Thanks for your help.

It used to be on the my-vacationclub.com website under "Program Enhancements", but I see it is no longer available. I did an online chat with a rep and they indicated that the chart had been pulled down to make changes due to the changes in the program. Most likely because of the new category 9.

I had cut and pasted the chart into a Word document. It is outdated as far as category 9 hotels, but it may still help you (Sorry, I can't get the columns to line up on the post):
