Unfortunately Marriott Vacation Club Resorts do not upgrade anyone unless they're literally sold out in the category that you booked hence why the descriptions did not change in my reporting.

As someone who loves the 1920s American style brick and mortar architecture in urban cities, the views from this property were a true delight. The suite’s view looked down artistic Parker’s Alley, and also provided some interesting people watching as patrons queued up for pretzels and other street food fare from the various venders. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only negative on the stay was the lack of the regular breakfast assortment, which was expected given the pandemic. I loved this hotel’s location, and the room upgrade was the icing on the cake.
