I'll take any help I can get
Now you have to take this with a grain of salt as I am also the same guy idiot who is confused about the fact that I will have almost 200 nights this year BUT will not earn the right for an Ambassador as my spend was only $19K(I travel for US Navy and the Rate is under $100 where i travel to) . BonVoy is all about greed and revenue and brand loyalty means nothing to them.
I still would like my new bonus so if any of the Lurkers can help, I will take it...I have already reached out to my Ambassador but radio silence. She is probably as embarrsassed as Christina as to how bad BonVoy is handling this....

Another datapoint from a colleague who had 2 stays on 29 Oct and 30 Oct, and had the 2,000 bonus points credited on 1 Nov.
As of now (late on 4 Nov), there is this message online :
and there is no Unlock offer.
She is checking into another stay today, and is understandably concerned that she is not getting any Unlock bonus,
So, given the similar experiences already reported above, the questions for the Lurkers are :
As Bonvoy has failed to execute the promotion a according to its own T&Cs, what should members do now ? Should they be contacting you individually, or is this a known failure which will be resolved for all ?
What will Bonvoy do to indemnify members for points that otherwise would have been earned, had the promotion been executed as per T&Cs ?

My 2nd stay posted 10/31 and still nothing from Bonvoy. As others have stated, why do I need to wait the vague 2-3 days anyway? Then again, why would the promo start on a Tuesday? By starting it well after when a normal program starts (10/29?) and then any staty that occurs until they bother to allow you to enroll will minimize what can be awarded? Then they know Turkey week is generally a non-travel week for the road warriors and then Xmas and New Years...Actually brilliant planning by BonVoy

Ok, dropped you a line. I look forward to hearing what my mystery offer is. Hopefully worth the wait. Thanks

I'm quite curious how much these promos (across any of the hotel programs) incentivize meaningful changes in behavior. I mean, ignoring all the FT "I'm super important and taking my business elsewhere" posts here, since FT is not a representative sample of the overall program membership.
I guess there must be some change, or the programs wouldn't bother with them, but presumably Marriott knows that its combination of generally superior footprint and product consistency can offset a lower promotion earn rate.

I'm obviously not "super important" if I don't mind staying at (and admitting I stay at) Choice and Best Western a bunch.

For me this promo means that a) Marriott IT is admittedly a complete failure and b) Marriott Bonvoy just doesn't care. Conclusion - neither do I. (But I 'm still flabbergasted why a loyalty program should be working hard towards alienating their own best customers)

My first stay posted already and the tracker has adjusted accordingly so let’s see how long it takes for BonVoy to update after this stay at the Aloft Lima posts to my account.
We’ll be staying at some off-brand properties in Iceland next week due to the limited Marriott coverage so that should give me some time to make decisions for the following week and Thanksgiving.

With IHGs 36,000 point accelerate improved by a doubler making it worth 72,000 points and a 4X promo that stacks with the accelerate going head to head against Marriott’s torpid “2,000 points after 2nd stay and then we’ll see” approach it’s hardly surprising I’ve been pushing stays over IHGs way. I should complete my second Marriott stay in the middle of the month (cheapo 5k BRG) so at least I’ll find out what’s on offer, though I doubt I’ll be making much effort to attain it!

I'm 5 days in from the second one posting (the 2 stays posted really quickly) and no follow up offer yet. And I have a trip starting tomorrow...this is ridiculous.

Maybe I haven't searched enough, but are there data points from people who have been "automatically" registered for phase II?
