Got mine.
Complete five stays to earn 12,000 additional bonus points.

I already had another 2 stays while waiting for this to unlock which obviously won't count towards this.

Is there a way to find out what’s our secondary offer before completing the two original stays?

Yet you continue to stay there?

Up until two weeks ago I was able to get a non-renovated room but they are now gone. It's a challenging area to book in (it's the bay area) so my remaining reservations will stay (alternative is paying $600+ for limited service hotels) but I have moved all expected stays mid-December onwards to other properties.

Looks like there are 6 distinct secondary offers so far. I summarized them in the wiki.

Why not? The T&Cs state "stays made between registration and Jan 14"

There's a brief window between the second qualifying stay for unlock purposes, and the system unlocking the promotion a few days later - the latter is not retroactive!

Checked out on Monday after a two nights stay, nights and points have not posted. Checking out again today and the same thing will probably happen and sadly I am heading straight on to another 6 night stay checking in today. So I think it will be a while before I even get my ‘unlock promotion”.

Sadly with the delay in unlocking i also have two stays that won’t count. Likely won’t have 6 more stays now so it defeats the “challenge” of incentivizing me to making an extra stay or two if it’s too much of a reach

Offer unlocked: Now complete three stays to earn 6,000 additional bonus points.

Choose from more than 7,000 participating hotels and resorts worldwide between October 29, 2019, and January 14, 2020.

They seriously think this offer will entice someone to choose to stay at Marriott?

Mine is 15K after six stays. I have two booked already, needing three after that to renew Titanium, so works out in terms of timing.

Could i confirm if redeeming points for a night / stay constitute an award night and it does not count towards a stay under this promotion? Thanks!
