Thank you for taking the time to reach out to Marriott Customer Care.

Please accept my apology for the delay in responding to your email. I do appreciate the opportunity to address your inquiry.
We are still in transitioning of account and member information, and do not have an answer as of yet, to determine how much longer this is going to take. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this is causing you. We appreciate your continued patience in this matter. Please be advised that we are diligently working on this. There are currently known issues being resolved, but there are also unknown issues as to why member information has not transitioned. We have a fabulous IT team, doing everything possible, to resolve these issues quickly.
If I can be of any further assistance, please reply to this email, and I will be happy to help you in any way that I can.

Thank you for your continued patience and loyalty to Marriott, SPG and The Ritz-Carlton Hotels.

Have a good day!

Nice to know that Marriott has a "fabulous IT team". This is ridiculous.
I admire their notion of "fabulous" . Perhaps it is time to break out the participation trophies.

William, is there any chance of getting Marriott to share an issue list with us? I (we?) don't mind helping debug stuff but knowing what they have on their plate sure would help.

My nights for YTD have at last posted correctly. I still want to review my SPG Amex points for July, which remain incomprehensible to me, but when that’s done, I will merge accounts. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether to keep the new SPG number (to which I have no emotional attachment) or the old Marriott one(ditto but for a different reason—I have no attachment to Marriott)?

I have to be honest and say that the probability of this is next to zero. Especially since no one outside the IT team is going to be able to help debug anything.

Members have told us here and in the Marriott forum what they are seeing that they think is wrong. We've also been getting emails and posts on Twitter and Facebook. We are passing these along to the IT team daily. They are creating tickets to address the various issues that are still open.

I completely understand everyone's frustration with this situation, but all that is needed now is some additional patience and some time for the processes to be developed and implemented.

There already is an official list:

status.marriott.com

It indicates that there are just a 'handful' of issues, which to me indicates the Marketing Dept got involved to minimize the issues.

You and the rest of the social media teams must be getting TONS of things written up, many/most of which are repetitions of issues already reported. That is why having a list of known issues is so important. Case in point. My lifetime nights were reduced by six a couple days ago. In reading hundreds of posts here, I'm guessing it is related to SPG YTD nights being double counted, which MIGHT be now fixed. However, I have seen NO communications from Marriott that even acknowledges that this issued exists (existed?). I can only shake my head as a stockholder as to the amount of people time that will be wasted answering the same issue over and over again.

From a personal perspective, I've got a lot more riding on the success of the merger than six meaningless lifetime nights, as I hold over $50K in Marriott stock and have been a stockholder since 1990. I am starting to get seriously concerned about where things will be when it comes time for the Nov earnings announcement.

My 5 AMEX nights finally made an appearance today, but I still can't see any activity breakdowns for stays after 8/18—including at legacy Marriott properties, no less—so I have no idea if the points posted were correct.

It may be getting better, but there are still some baffling bugs. How hard can it be to print rows from your database (which seemingly must exist, since the overall totals were updated) into a table?

Minus a two-night stay completed on September 4th [although my stay from the 4th to 5th posted], my nights and points are all up to date. Only thing that looks fishy is my annual spend, since it looks a little low given the ten nights that just posted to my account. Anyone else experiencing issues with that counter?

Hopefully we’re at the end of that rocky road now and things are closer to normal.

My wife and I can both see our recent activity now in the app! Everything looks accurate to me, so I am happy that they are making progress. I have my app set to Marriott and hers to SPG, so both are showing after a refresh.

I can't be the only one singing the Beatles' All Together Now in my head every time I see this thread can I?!

i can see all activity now so can finally see what has posted & what has not....most of my missing stays have now posted & i am only missing a one night stay from last month....but all my recent stays that have posted seem to have posted points incorrectly....i am missing my platinum amenity points for all stays....also missing all magc points....then there are 2 stays where i have only received points for the f&b portion of the stay & not the room rate....

i called spg this morning to point out that the points for the room rates have not posted & the response that i got was that the points can post in batches & not all together....also, i have to give the property 10 business days after checkout to correct the posting on their own....this seems pretty absurd to me....in my experience once the stay posts incorrectly then it will not correct on its own unless you raise a complaint....i believe the agent just made that up....either way, i've sent a copy of my folio to the research team to correct the posting....

Hmm, I was thinking more along the lines of Helter Skelter.

When IT "solved " the issue with double counting of LT nights they also "solved" it for us that did not have that problem, i.e. my accumulated nights 1 Jan to 18 Aug was effectively deducted from my LT account. Great Job!.. Now it was only 3 measly nights but still it shines a light on the lack of ability to properly identify the problem(s) in current production.
