they didn't upgrade you to SOWV? Did you pay to upgrade to OWV? What's your status

I don't think anyone has been upgraded to SOWV? I'm a Platinum Premier who booked a GV on points. I paid to upgrade to a OWV.

Also I was a little shocked that fresh coconut juice cost $20 per coconut.

i dont think they upgrade from OWV->SOWV during dec-jan peak period

i was given 524 which is meant to be one of the more private OWV.

if i ever go back i would probably asked for one of the first few OWV facing the BV.

Yes I apologize. I did not mean to say OWVs get MORE sun. On a second post I mentioned that I dont think from a sun standpoint it makes much of a difference, if you are in the east facing OWVs versus the west facing SOWVs. As I said, I am opting to keep an OWV versus SOWVs, but thats personal preference.

I'm afraid of same thing. GV to $ upgrade OWV won't get upgrade to SO because there was option to but I chose OWV.

was that coconut worth $20 tho?

I am not sure if 4 is an accurate number for GV. I read on a TPG post that the base rooms are little less than 1/3 of total rooms... so still fairly small on a all suite property.

FOr those who have been there, is 440k-540k a good deal for the OWV?

4 is an accurate number. They're in the middle of the island, dark green villas, on the wiki map. How many nights are you paying 440-540k points for?

must be 5-6 nights.

If you're traveling on off-peak times, pay to upgrade is better.

For Dec-Jan. I'd use points.

hmm I requested a north facing villa thinking that it will be more private and the hammock area will still have tons of sun?

what don't you like about it?

The 100k/nt OWV reservation I made is now showing as 357k/nt and I don't have a screenshot. This should be fun.

Called Marriott for mine as well, was told that they saw a 120k/nt rate (the rate I booked was 100k/nt) in some section of the reservation system and were opening a case to have the Marriott Rewards team fix it.

Let us know what happens with yours.

I can actually just book the room again myself for 100K. I might do that. I've been on hold for 15 mins now. The agent sees the 2.8mil and is trying to figure it out. (Well I didnt do that BECAUSE the new room had a freaking Jan 16 cancelation vs the August 2 of my old room.)

Now the agent is telling me cancelation for the 2.8mil points is Jan 11-in the past. (Although still shows Aug 2 online.) What a cluster F#$K.

In the end, the couldn't help or see the change in points in any history. I was told to email the hotel-which I did. I'd advise anyone to KEEP A COPY of their reservation.

I had a 5 night stay for 440k that is showing 1.7mil points. I didn’t want to deal with calling, but I’m unable to do award searches while logged in (but showing availability when not logged in). The whole website seems buggy so I’ll just wait until tomorrow. Will stay tuned if y’all are able to resolve. I unfortunately forgot to take a picture of the original reservations so hopefully it still works out.

Ok this is news to me then. I was hoping to get an upgrade if there are SOWV available. I have the choice of paying an additional $600 total for the upgrade from OWV to SOWV. Anyone who knows this property, is is worth $600????
