I just did a bunch of $500 payments, but your post reminded me of the Evolve days when I did $500, $499.99, etc. But I can't remember why I did $499.99, etc. Is that so Plastiq doesn't think they're duplicates, or is it so the biller (mortgage, prop tax) doesn't get confused?

Plastiq just requested invoic for paying the local gas company, already in their database. Seems kind of random.

It kind of seems like they're willing to ban people even though there's proof that they're following the rules. It sounds familiar.

In contributing to the conversation, I will say that they take a while to respond to my questions. Perhaps they're getting a lot of new users now that they made it public that debit cards are fee free.

Has anyone tried to mail the checks made out to your landlord to yourself?

This way i know exactly when the check is in their hand and not deal with all this mess of timing that many of you guys are experiencing

My reason is so if a payment does not post, I know exactly which payment was not credited. If I sent 10 $500 payments and only 9 got credited, there is no way to tell which is missing.

Did the no fee for debit card promo end already? I tried to pay with a VGC this morning
and they showed a 2.50% fee.

Thanks.

It's not a promotion. It's a permanent (until/unless they change it) rule that there are no fees on debit cards.

Some debit cards, including gift, are still being seen as credit. The Plastiq team is aware of this, but they haven't changed anything.

Same thing happened to me today, yesterday a saved MC gift card showed $0 fee, today it's 2.50%.

Glitch or ?

I'm also seeing 2.5%. This is with the same VGC that paid a bill with 0% fee just a few days ago. Same biller, too.

Just chatted with Plastiq CS, they said gift debit doesn't qualify anymore. Bummer! But maybe some of them do, I'll check later.

This will work for limited time, until PP will shut you down.
