I'm locked in to the 1.5% fee for MC from the promo a couple months ago. I used my Citi Premier card to meet spend requirement for sign-up bonus, but I don't want to use this card anymore. The next mortgage payment is 11/10. I'd like to sign up for the Citi Prestige now. 2 questions--
First, can I delay the date of payment (say, from 11/10 to 11/25) and keep the 1.5%?
Second, when I get the Prestige card, can I swap it with the Premier card that's currently linked to my Plastiq account and keep the 1.5% fee?

i dont think you will be able to do that. but worst case scenario you can go to cvs buy vanilla gift cards at 1% free ($4.95 for $500) and used them with 0 fee in plastiq locking you now at 1%.

My policy is No promotional fee rate then no transaction. I lose money with 2.5% therefore no go.

Those who had no fee for Vanilla gift card, did it have OV black packaging or Vanilla Visa gold/silver packaging?

Didnt see it anywhere in the last bunch of pages but have people had any luck with paying Store Cards? I sent a couple payments to my Zales card today and so far everything has gone fine. Just want to make sure it wont get blocked or canceled. Thanks.

It appears that the payment went through without any plastiq fees. I paid a $210 bill via check with a $300 VGC purchased online at staples (which is processed through giftcardmall.com).
I'll report back if an error comes back, but it seems to have cleared for now.

Are Amex Gift Cards run as Debit or Credit?
I'm sure I know the answer to this already, but was wondering if anyone has recently tried to pay a bill with an AGC through Plastiq, and if so, do they charge a fee? It'd be great to pay my mortgage with one check/AGC rather than several checks/VGCs.
The only reason I ask is that Plastiq doesn't ask for PINs, yet somehow the system knows to run the VGCs as Debit. Fingers crossed that it's the same with Amex GC and I'll soon be flush with SPG points!
UPDATE: As I suspected, AGC are still run as credit and incur a 2.5% fee.

May vary by county but I sent to ABQ. Will know in about 10 days. I left a time margin to resolve issues if there are any issues and am prepared to handle the float if things go very bad.
