This is what happened to me too! Looked like it got to the very end and they the transaction spontaneously cancelled.

Anyone see the same thing happening??

This happened to me a few weeks ago when I tried to load an UNACTIVATED Serve for the first time. D'oh.

What were the circumstances under your loads?

We had to do a hard reset of the register, not just "void" as it would not allow that option. Funds reversed shortly after onto the VGC.

I just loaded my 2 surviving Serves at RA at 5 pm Pacific time without problems.

Blue Serve card loads fine at WMT Kate but has a 3.74 fee.
Decided to try free load possibility at RA. Using Sunrise/Macerich card.
$500 attempted load.

Cashier didn't know what to do but his fellow worker helped him and
both very friendly. Found keypad entry for Free Serve load.
Went all the way to end of transaction...looked like it completed but reversed itself at last minute. Repeated a second time with same result after they voided he transaction.

Went to WMT and successfully used same card for MO>

I tried to load one at RA in San Diego and was told there is a $395 fee. When asked to load $496.5 (I had a $500 GC) it flaked and wouldn't approve the transaction.

Probably because you were $391.5 short.

Yesterday and today same thing with attempted load to soft serve. Got to the end and looked like it worked then it said failed. Haven't tried Walmart yet. Card balance still at $500. I wondered if my serve won't allow load but I never received a shutdown email.

It's a two-step issue: 1) You have to pick the "Serve Free Reload" option on the screen (not just the "Serve Reload;" 2) You have to have a version of Serve eligible for Free Reloads (OneVip, Old Blue, Green). If you have a Serve that charges for reloads, you will be charged even if you select the Serve Free Reload option. Likewise, if you have a version with free loads and you don't pick the free load option, you will be charged.

395+496.5 = 891.5 > 500
3.95+496.5 = 500.45 > 500

I used a surviving OneVIP to load $500 at Rite Aid today. It was completely uneventful and worked exactly as always. I expect it will be the same when I try tomorrow, lord willing, and the creek don't rise!

Uneventful is good!

I'll be trying my OneVIP tomorrow after I get some more VGCs!

I believe none of mine were shut down...

I loaded up One VIP with 4 x $300 Staples VGC in Orange County. No problem.

I loaded 1000 OVGC to serve at RA, no problem. Not sure when serve will shut me down.

I had the same thing yesterday. Loaded 1K in the morning (2 500 loads), then tried to do another 1K in the afternoon, first load went fine, second kept doing that. Looked online later and saw the charge went through then get reversed on the VGC but never hit the serve
