Awesome, thanks for the info.
Have you ever had any problem paying with a CC for $2000 of vanillas at a time at your CVS? As far as buying vanillas at CVS, in general, no i don't have issues with buying $2000 worth of VGCs at CVS. However some CVS stores are cash only. I've traveled my area and know the CVS' that have no issue with credit cards/AGCs. You should probably read the CVS thread here, http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/manuf...er-thread.html. |

One correction, you can load vanillas at KATE but at $49.99 per transaction.

For those who have their Plenti account activated, look online for a 2000 point "Partner Offer" from Rite-Aid. I activated it a few days ago.
This morning when I purchased two Vanilla MC to get the 500 points, the transaction qualified for the bonus 2000. Receipt shown: http://i64.tinypic.com/2ldx3lu.jpg |
What kind of loading limits are there per transaction/day/month?
|
I have done a single $500 load last 2 days at RA by me for my citigold debit purchases. Both times $1000 was hard coded to not be accepted, but $500 no problem. So going forward, it looks like 1 $500 vgc per store? Do other stores allow more than$500, haven't seen that in this thread.
|
Anyone in Nova have any datapoints on RA loads? Specifically OV if possible? Focused on Arl and/or Tysons. Gebit allowed for serve load? limits? Nervousness? etc.
|
YMMV.
|
I've only done $500 loads per card. Will $500 x2 work?
|
Today, I used vanilla at RA, but did not go through even the total load is $500. Tried paypal, doesnt work either. Hope it's just an isolated incident.

I'm buying vanillas at CVS, 4x$500. I haven't tried buying the vanillas at rite aid as I would rather use Rite Aid to load VGCs rather than buying VGCs. And yes vanillas cannot be loaded at Walmart.
Not looking for big-time churn. Just need to do about $5k in M$ to meet minimum spending. Thanks. |

Can Vanillas be used to buy money orders at WM or is that now dependent upon the location, luck, etc.?
|
YMMV.

You won't be able to buy a money order with a vanilla card at Walmart.

You can try, but it's easier if they believe there is a $500 limit per load. Less questions on why different debits used. Not many $1k GCs out there these days.
Ask them to split a transaction when buying a few items as a test. Then decide if it's worth it or it confuses the cashiers. |
