For SoCal it appears they want you to order off their Web site. You need to be signed in to the AAA Web site, and there is a link on the "FINANCIAL" tab portion of the site. There I find the following (below); to purchase I am redirected to a portal page that is apparently run by MetaBank.

I thought the cards were free, so no luck for us AAA CA folks

Got blacklisted by AAA. I bought a $500 only one time with an AGC. Cashed out by MO at Kroger. Came back that afternoon to buy some more , like $2000, and I was about to pay with an AGC and the manager came over for some reason and said just credit card or debit. No gift cards for gift cards. I was pretty mad since I was able to do GC for GC that same morning with the same employee. After fighting with upper management for such a stupid policy (nowhere they said that GC for GC wasn't allowed) I gave up. Tried to buy $500 last week, and the rude lady behind the counter told me to call Metabank. Called Metabank and they told me that I could not ever buy AAA gift cards for violation of T &C. Quite ridiculous!

Because you are new, some will forgive you and others would tar and feather you, but you must remember that it is a privilege to rob and pillage these companies. Now and then that privilege gets revoked for irrational reasons that no amount of well thought out factual arguments will change....ever.
So take your (temporary) beating and move on to the next opportunity.
DO NOT MAKE A SCENE.
DO NOT CALL AND ARGUE.

Data Point - I loaded the cards via WM onto Bluebird over a period of 3-4 days. Obviously Metabank tracked them and blacklisted me

Change your name with the Social Security Administration, IMO.

Anyone know what kind of long term implications the Metabank ban has? My guess is that most of you that got a ban just got a AAA ban, not a Metabank ban. Anyone run into issues buying Metabank products anywhere else or with Metabank reloadable debit cards after the ban?

I think I might be blacklisted too. I did about 14K this month (3-4K per AAA card, but all under the same primary account). She told me today (my favorite AAA employee) that the computer said I have reached my limit. She couldn't tell me any more details, like what the limit was, when it resets, etc.

Just to let you know guys that promo is over, went there (07/03) and was told that it ended 06/30 and got charged 4.95 (member) fees. Bought 3, had to fill a stupid paper and they had to do lot's of paperwork (was told even for 1 I had to do this).
Loaded to BB at WM w/o any problem..

My ban is clearly with Metabank the AAA person was very clear she got a call from the "bank" and the "bank" was banning me from future purchases over concerns of fraud. Several folks who got banned last year actually got numbers to call at Metabank about their bans (in those instances cards were locked and checks issued). As for the fallout who knows, since one can no longer buy directly from Metabank and they have no idea who is buying them retail it seems to have more or less 0 impact on me other than I can no longer buy at AAA which is honestly a pretty marginal impact.

AAA TravelMoney Cards

Does anyone know if the TravelMoney cards work for MS? It says you can load them in a branch without a fee. If the cards are able to be loaded at a branch with a CC, then this might prevent the issue of buying multiple GCs. You buy the one card, then reload it. AAA lists the gift cards and travel money as two separate products. Anyone have experience with the Travel Money?

The only stupid thing in this whole story is your thinking. Please tell me that this is a joke.

Charged as CA when I bought the card w/ a value load (used a Chase card).

What's value load? Did you buy it online or in the B&M club? Thanks
