VR you can load online, no need to go into Wally world to load onto BB, you can do so online. That's what great about it for me.

Pulled a good one today, loaded final VR's onto my BB accounts then threw the VR's in shred bin at work. Started reviewing and paying off the CC noticed I was $500 short...yep I threw one of the VR's away without loading it   Got our security dept to unlock the bin and keyed in each number again into VR system until I found the missing one, that was close and stupid!!! Will triple check from now on.

Theres no 1 way that is better then the other.

I prefer Vanilla and you Strawberry, it doesnt mean strawberry isnt any good just for whatever reason I prefer vanilla if given an option

For some VRs workout better then VGCs, for other folks the exact opposite

I too couldn't load the new 484718 cards at walmart, but the other ones did load. For what it is worth, the new ones I found were in a blue package on the outside. I found some old ones in the old gold package. My store that's been out of vanilla reloads for 2 months now also was out of old vanilla visas.

Has anybody tried loading these at target? It's not the most economical way of dealing with things, but you could get rid of 5k quickly.

Yes, and they work fine of course because it's just the PIN functionality that doesn't work with the 18 cards.

How could the VGCs be better for anyone to load BB? I'm confused. I understand that some people do not have stores that allow you to buy VRs with a credit or that store is far away, true. But if given an equal choice:
1-Yes, VRs are $1-2 cheaper.
2-You can buy more than 2 cards at once to load at home at your convenience over multiple days and thus you don't have to make multiple trips to Walmart to load BB and deal with broken kiosks/"smart" CSRs.

The ability to liquidate may be slowly being clamped. Visited two Rite-Aids yesterday to buy MOs. The first, from which I had never bought MOs before, said corporate has instituted a cash-only MO policy. The CSR at the other RA, from where I had bought MOs about two weeks ago, said it was now cash-only too.

And not to be paranoid or have visions of grandeur, but right after I hit my go-to WMT for more GC-cash-out MCs than usual, the money center was closed for several days for a "software upgrade." Since it reopened, US Bank MC GCs, with which I had bought MOs there in the past, on two of three visits could not be used to buy MOs. I tried to use the cancel-button trick, as usual. Weird that it worked on one of those three visits, though.

I've had "those days" where you hit three walmarts and it appears the MS world is ending. you just have to persevere. This too shall pass.

This. Big corp IT structures are inconsistent enough in both implementation and maintenance to produce bugs and glitches like many have experienced at one time or another - gift cards not activating properly, WMT registers being on the blink, etc.

To end on a positive note, FWIW, I just loaded my usual $1K to BB at my local WMT today with 2 VGCs and as usual, no problems. Sailed in, sailed out.

Where I live, the Walmart staff is very strict. Absolutely NO BB load with gift cards at 2 WM where I live. It's PITA, because the Kiosks are always broken. I have to to continuously go until the Kiosk work so I can load them up, which is simple if they work.

Loading up with kiosk works for all giftcard for me... the cashier at Money center are a no go. they always want to see the debit card... I just don't want to get into an argument...

I have a card with 4847 18xx and the PIN doesn't work. It came in gold colored packaging..
