I wouldnt wait too long to swamp them out, no telling who will be next to curtail our activities. I used to get all the GCs I need from the OSs 1-2-3 and load everything in 5 days. Now I will take it alot slower least it get shut down and I end up having $1000s to use up somehow.

It will be get 5 load em and go get another 5 for the 2nd BB load em and rinse and repeat thusly for 5 days.That way worse comes to worse Id head over to Lowes and p/u some gas cards and Marriott cards which I will need anyways and wont be sitting on a yrs supply

I suppose if i saw one of those pinfree gcs (lets call them "oprahs" like oprah pinfree) I would get paypal cards with it and carefully watch the packaging if i could use that to avoid this

FYI I just received two Vanilla Visa gift cards, one $100 and one $50 from WalMart.com and both start with 4847 18. I am in New York. Can anyone in NY confirm these cards are being rejected here as debit cards?

I went to the Vanilla Visa Gift Card account page and when I select manage PIN there is no option to set a PIN but it tells me the first time I use the card whatever PIN I use will be set as the PIN. That seems in line with how their policy has always been. Did they ever allow PINs to be set online? Also I'm interested if anyone has tried to buy a pack of gum or something to set the PIN through that transaction then try to fill BB after that.

It would be helpful if you could share the general area where your WalMart located and the 6 digit prefix on your VGCs. Thanks

It would seem to me from reading the forum that those who are posting that they purchased Vanillas and were able to load them or get MOs they had to have gotten the 35s.

AFAIK not 1 person has posted they had 18s and had no problems loading their BB or using it with a pin. Yet many posted they had 35s and it worked like always. Just assume if a person doesnt post hey I got some 18s and had no problems unloading them, that in fact no one has been able to do any unloading of the 18s as a DC but only as CCs which means buying VRs or DCs that will unload them or they used their 18s as a CC

Almost every CV Ive been into in NY/NJ had the old 20/500 VVGCs Gold pkgs.While in CT the other week the 3 CVs I went into only had the new Gold pkgs Best to stay clear of the Wallys unless you go in person so you can see what it is that youd be buying, but even then you have to know how to tell the Old (35s) from the New (18s)

Or stick to sunrise at wallys and OneVanilla at CV

Did a test purch at wat yesterday with a $100 variable gc. It was holiday one from sunrise. Had lunch, came back used ATM, loaded no problem. Am waiting to see on my cc acct how this wat purch is classified.:confused:

Just to re-iterate, I am in SD; these cards work no where for pin that we can find.

Crazy part is the card itself says it can do PIN and the web-site too; I don't get it.

Data point: at CVS the had the new silver #1 with GIFT written across the face of the whole card with expiration dates in 2022. A few rows down they also had the old silver #1s with gift written smaller at the top of the card. I picked two of these with expiration of 4/20 and 8/20. Just used at BB fine.

I'd recommend picking cards with expirations of 2021 or 2020

I have never had any issue loading BB at WM with ANY gc...Vanilla or otherwise. I think there may be human error in all your cases...whether on the cardholder or csr.

No there isn't. Right after trying and the clerk literally showing me her screens I loaded metabank cards exactly the same way.

I've been getting the silver #1's as well. I've found 35's in all of them. Packages have had either exp date of 6/22 or 3/22. I haven't seen any here yet with an exp of 8/22. I'll only try one at a time if/when the 8/22 or later do show up.
