$200 vanilla visa purchased from walmart.com did not work at either the kiosk or cashier (two different walmarts). Going to liquidate via AP and move on.

Yep, those are 35 cards.

The Fat Lady is starting to sing...

was at 2 CVs in CT today while heading home. Got my VRs but when I glanced at the VGCs I saw the VRGCs (not the reg reloads) were all of the new pkgs where the card on the front had "Gift" in big letters and although it was gold in color it wasnt exactly like the old gold pkgs

My guess (thats all it is) V is starting to ship all the new cards to the stores and the old cards that worked,in very short order will be a thing of the past. since I was able to p/u the reg reloads I passed on the new gold pkgs.

My suggestion for those who dare is to buy 1 only, before ending up with several that wont work and be a replay of the Home Supply cards

Sorry but what is a "35 card"? I don't see that in this thread upon search.

Here is the pattern I've identified. Card numbers that start with 484735 have working PINs. Card numbers that start with 484718 do not have working PINs. I have no counterexamples to the above rule.

Sorry, I should've said 18 cards, not 35 cards (18 are the non-working ones, 35 are the working ones).

Looks like that was correct.
5th and 6th digits are 18.

If anyone could please post when their 18 card expiry date occurs. This may help identify a correlation.

"18" card with expiry 08/22

I just got a Vanilla gift card (Variable) that looks like the "old" image posted earlier, but it starts 4315 rather than 4847. Will try it at WM soon, but any knowledge of these? I suspect it is old because the package didn't mention a PIN.

FWIW: this one worked fine buying a MO at WM

Would it be advisable to bring this problem to their attention? They might be able to fix it remotely w/o having to send in the cards?

Additional info for cards that worked: The latest "4847 35" cards that I bought all have exp of 3/22.

Correlation between what? Why does it matter what the expiry date is? The 18 cards don't work, the 35 ones do. We have no confirmed counterexamples so what does the expiry date matter?

I also had some 4847 35 cards that worked. Exp dates were all 3/22.

I think until someone has a counterexample or new piece of information, people can stop posting when their card works or doesn't work. 35 = works, 18 = doesn't work. No need to post unless you find a counterexample or a card with a different 5th and 6th digit entirely.
